I'm looking at my pommel section of my new MHS saber, and am wondering about speaker mounting. Does the speaker need to be adhered to the speaker mount somehow, prior to installing in the pommel? I don't see any other way that the speaker could be held in place. I know the speaker faces the base of the pommel, but from there I'm stuck.

Also, what is the best way to attach pommel insert? A liquid weld of some sort?

Thanks in advance!

on the speaker I don't really know becouse I have never used one but for the pommel insert well I used the c-clip sold in the store but you could just cut a piece of blade off and use it, or any piece of plastic.

I've used acouple of those speaker mounts, and they work very well. You might want to glue the speaker to it, but it's not really necessary. I know some people don't like it, but I'd use a few dabs of hot glue to hold it in, in case you ever have to remove it. It fits in the MHS hilts like so:

It'll bottom out on the base of the threads and be held in place by the pommel. I found they work best if you lightly sand them so they aren't too tight of a fit.

I used a big o-ring to hold the insert I made in place, and it also works with the MPS inserts:

I'm with Jay-Gon, hot glue is the ticket.

For the speaker mount, I prefer to hot glue the whole speaker around it, also, I like a tight fit, it preserves some of the low end (bass)...

but I don't take the pommels off too often... different story if you do.
