very nice. how do those metal spacers feel in the hand?

I like the design..I looks like the spaces may play havoc with your hand unless you sanded the edges(sort of looks like you did). Any sound in that bad boy? How about painting the spaces in between the emitter the same gray/sliver? I think that would complete the look of it overall.

Yep, I sanded the edges of those bad boys nice and smooth... when I first put them on and was swinging it around I gave myself a few nice little cuts hahaha... then took them all off, hit em with the file, dremel, and some sandpaper and now its all good...

at first when I was holding it it felt kind of strange with the metal on there, but after a while you get used to it...

and there is no sound (I wonder if I could even fit a soundcard in there)... space inside is very minimal!

yeh I was also thinking the emitter needed a little love, it kind of seems a bit out of place eh? Good call on that one Navel

thanks...

what'd you use for the pommel? A hardware part, or do I have to pay for one?

the whole saber is made of PVC (except for the emitter), the actual pommel is another portion of PVC tube inserted into the first piece, the bottom is a PVC end cap that is made to fit inside perfectly. All the edges were rounded over to make it look less like PVC pipe... I then used small screws to hold the parts together (they are held together pretty well with pressure, but during its first duel the end came off!) I tried to make the screws seem more functional by making the small plates on the last two sections out of sink tube...

if anyone is interested I can post pics of the parts I used sometime.

I would be interested in seeing what you used.

I'm planning on building a curved saber soon with kind of an armor plated look (Don't worry I won't be biting your design) I have never built a pvc based saber before and I'm just curious

Im not worried about anyone biting my design, Id like to see more curved sabers! So if you have any questions on how I put it all together hit me up...

thanks for looking..

Very nice dude!!!

I'm hopefully going to do my Green curved soon, though I have a red one for my buddy to do first!!
Neither will be as fancy as yours, but they'll be Henry jobs, so all metal.

a write up on your build process would be cool, that is if I didn't miss one, I have so little time to lurk right now...

honestly I'd like to know what type of pvc you used, I'm planning on making a set of light up cheapos out of pvc with varying designs for use as practice sabers.

I will be working on that here soon, got to get some pics together of the parts I used.... I didnt do any "in progress" photos cause Im dumb, but I can explain what I did pretty well I hope!

the basic PVC I used is the grey stuff that I got from Lowes... I think its actually something other than PVC, its some sort of electrical conduit I think...

Thanks for lookin'.
