What's going on with the forums?

For the past two days, I've sent four messages to Tim about http 500s and no access to the forums... and each outage spanned many hours.

Does anyone have any insight as to what the problem is?

I've been getting a lot of "PHP access violations"... sounds like the database is throwing it's cookies. :/

I've had the PHP violations a lot. None of the 500s yet. Weird...

Perhaps the kind of error message you receive depends on your browser. I use firefox and I get the "php access violation" error.

Thats correct..IE and firefox give different error messages. Within the next couple of days we will be moving to a new supposedly better server. The IP's will change etc but lets hope everything starts working smoothly again. There will be a brief outage during this time.

The domain names and software is not changing so once it is moved and configured for the new server there wont be any noticeable differences. Except that it will work better hopefully.
