I had some time to kill while waiting for parts for the last two brass sabers, so I threw this together using a TCSS 1.25" blade holder, a Darth Vader FX soundboard, a 4-AAA battery pack and a speakers I found online:

I let the padawans have a little input on this...I was going to have the blade holder in the tube all the way, but they said it looked better like this! From the mouths of babes.... :D

I took some design elements from my daughter's 1.25" pink saber and applied them to this one as well. Those are TCSS grips cut down to fit on the end of the plumbing extension. I still have to get a strainer to cut up to make the speaker grille, too. I'll also need to get a few 8-32 nuts so I can attach the CT knobs I have for this one and my daughter's saber. The plumbing tube is too thin to take any threads, and the screws just strip in the hole.

Here's the electronics. About the same as I usually use in the other sabers, except I built a custom battery pack/speaker assembly for this one.

The heat sink and blade holder.....

I completed the wiring for this one and stuffed it in the hilt. You might be able to see in the first pic the one-piece electrical harness for the batteries and the speaker....it turned out nice, and keeps the wire mess to a minimum.

I didn't put a quick-disconnect on the led for this one, as there really would be no point...there isn't a quick-change process for these holders...it involves taking the holder out and loosening the 4 set screws that hold the heatsink in place to change the led.

I honed out the blade holder socket and put in one of my sanded "Dual-Core Diffusion" blades and took a few pics:

I took this last one using the camera's flash, just to see how it would look:

That doesn't include some ofthe more recent brass ones, as I didn't keep those. The ones in this pic are mine, from my personal collection. There's also a "build thread" for just about all of those here somewhere, too.

Absolutely like the idea of the battery pack/speaker setup. Definitely will try to mimic that in my second saber. And that 1.25" saber looks nicely streamlined too, very awesome work.:-)

I was looking for that blade holder that you have and I could not find it. It looks like its a sleeve over the sink tube, but I do not think they sell those here. My question is did you make that blade holder or did you buy it somewhere and attach it to the sink tube somehow?

This is the one.

I saw that part, I just was wondering about the angled blade holder that he had.

I bet you could do those in your sleep now.

He cut the sinktube to make the angle he wanted, and recessed the blade holder in the tube far enough to give it that specific emitter look.

I think just seeing the sink tube over the blade holder cut at an angle.

X, who are you talking to?

yeah thats what I thought, but it looks like he has 1.25" Sink tube LED/Blade holder with like a sleve of some sort over the tube

No sleave. Just sink tube and blade holder.

Jay-gon. He's he'd done quite a few sinktube sabers now.

I bet you could do those in your sleep now.

There's a great idea, then I could build sabers and get some sleep at the same time!

I missed this earlier, I guess...

Anyway, there is no other layer to the emitter end, it just looks that way as i "scored" the tube using my tubing cutter to make the parting lines. It helps create the illusion that the saber is built from parts that screw together, rather than looking like....well, like a drain pipe!

And I just happened to have all four of the sabers of this type here at once, and thought I'd take a few pics of them together:
