Hey guy's,
I have 2 fx conversions on ebay and I have been asked by several people if I would convert their saber. I was wondering what a good price is. I didn't think Strydur would mind this post much since he's so busy.

Is that your lightsaber or are you happy to see me?

Tell them a like a mechanic: parts plus an hourly (or minute) rate for labor

To give you estimates, Tim when the conversions were up did Vader's for $100, Anakin $125, Luke $175 (He custom machined quite a bit though on that one).

That's quite expansive considering that already converted sabers are going about $180 now.

It is but with say Tim or Ultra that do it as a business you're paying to know it's done right. I'd be wary of just old anybody selling one because I don't know what they're using for parts and if they did it properly. UltraSWG's conversions routinely go for $100+. He does offer them from his site though for $75.

It really depends on how much you're doing these people a favor or providing a service (making a bit of money).

Figure out what you will pay in parts. And then add on what you think your time is worth. Simple as that. There are reasons I charge more, one of them being that I am (as far as I know) the only one who uses a custom blade holder in the conversions.

Thanks guy's this helps alot.
And don't worry about quality, The way I make these they're probably as indestructable as tim's.
