Hello everyone.
Whoever is interested in making a count dooku FX lightsaber you have come to the right place. i know how to replicate dooku's saber.
Count Dookus lightsaber is very detailed, and you might have to pay alot for the parts at a local hardware shop. (now i dont know the exact prices so, that, you will have to figure out yourself)
Here are the parts needed:
- Courtesy of kincharbamin's website and tutorial for building a saber in 20 mins: http://img164.imageshack.us/img164/4329/theparts400pxapr420031024239ad.jpg (http://imageshack.us)

As you can see you just need the items that i have circled
NOTE: The pipe in the lower right corner needs to be shorter than that (preferably 9 centimeters)

- 1 sheet of Rubber Grip material (Doesnt matter what it looks like, because you can customize the looks for your own personal likings)

- a 3 cm wide washer, with a 5mm hole Try to find it in chrome (if you cannot find it in chrome then buy a chrome spray paint, which is usually found in the car section of Home Depot, Lowes, Walmart and many other stores.)

- One 2 cm wide washer to put on top of the 3 cm washer

- One 13 cm Chrome Pipe

- One 7-1/2 cm Chrome pipe

- and for the top part , right now i have to look more to see if i can find a curved chrome pipe just like that, and i will keep you guys informed on that.

there will be more parts so Add this Post to your favorites and check on it for more updates

Thank you,
Soheil R.

Ok now i have the first 2 steps for making the saber.

1)Cut out this shape with a piece of paper.
http://img122.imageshack.us/img122/3023/02250618561gb.jpg (http://imageshack.us)
2)Then Use this template to cut out that same piece out of a rubbery grip material. Like so.(i used a very simple grip)http://img102.imageshack.us/img102/7195/02250619101ns.jpg (http://imageshack.us)
Cut out 2 of these (1 for bottom and 1 for top)

Note: Come back to this post for more steps.

hey i went to a vaccuum cleaner shop to check out tubing options, and they had a curved shiny tube for where the vacuum handle bends from the plastic hose. it was like $80 AUD but if you really wanted to make a good one, that ones like pretty much the exact angle, its not too sharp like those piping bits, but its a smooth curve like on the MR dookus one.

well like u said its not a sharp curve!!! thats the key thing right there, if u want to relpicate it exactly, you need it to be sharp...yeah sure i can make a dooku saber out of curved materials, but making it with sharp edges is easier.

oh and btw, i have ran outa supplies for the dooku saber, so ill keep u informed on it!

For whoever is interested...

The"guard" on Doouku's lightsaber can be replicated with a drawer handle. They have a huge variety at hardware stores. The trick is to drill 2 holes in your pipe... one for the screw to anchor the guard, and another hole for you to insert your screwdriver through the pipe to tighten the guard on.
