Well folks, Iam trying to decide with costume to build first.
Both are gonna be about the same price area but ones more cloth than armor.

Now my idea for the jedi costume is gonna be very corellian like, lots of dark green with a bit of tan and brown or black instead of tan and brown.
Here are a bunch of images I have collected with various ideas you all know what my saber is gonna look like.

Now I noticed that twin roses makes emerald green robes now so I will be picking one up if I decide to go with the green robe route.

Now on to the other, the custom mando bounty hunter

Now there were a few things I couldent do with that image and thats remove the knee pads and add shin armor, still not to sure on the colors Iam tossing around a couple ideas before I commit to a drawing. IAm 100% unsure if I want a cod piece or not.
As for the blaster I want to try to make one of these.

Out of this.

Nothing exact, sorta a carbine version of it

So I got a tough decision and am not sure which way to go first so I shal let the TCSS family decide.

Thats a much into the future project that will require more money than I would spend on my jedi or a mando.

And for clarification both these costumes will be in the same ballpark price range so just cause its got armor dosent me its pricy.

I definatly say Jedi, though that Carbine is one mighty fine looking piece of testostarone!

I like that black and green Obi-wan the best...and the Das Jennir version next. I think you should be ablt to pull off the Jedi for less than the Mando, but I could be wrong. I know you can save a lot by not using a full Boba/Jango armor style.

Yeah I was gonna scratch build my jetpack/or Backpack of sorts later on, Much like I would make my jedi costume more clonewars esk later on.(CLONE WARS RULE!).

But I want my mando to be like someone offspring down the line of one of the clone comanders.

I like that green and black Obi-Wan the best.

(Also, regarding the Joe Flannigan as Corran Horn picture... :-P )

Well folks I ran the mando idea accrost with some other custom mandos and they feel that its to much boba going on and tha tI will prolly be constintly mistaken for boba or some other stuff and I do agree with them, I was afraid that it was gonna look to boba with the green and red so I went back and redid it and I will edit the first post with the updated image.

I know you DS2k2 well enought you would vote for a mando.

Iam starting to lean twards the mando a bit.

Hay DS you on TDH and mando mercs?

Nope... I'm banned from TDH for cussing some people out. I'm mainly on SGB's board, and poke around at a few others.

Well, I say a slightly less flamboyant Dass Jennir.

If you're goin Mando, there's a guy on Ebay that does a basic set on armor for like $50, made of Sintra (plastic that some on mercs use instead of fibreglass)

The soft goos you'd have to source yourself, though I found a US airforce Desert flight suit going cheap in an army surplus. Never even worn!!!

Yeah I got the armor sources. cyanide72 is a respectable member of the mando forums, I will be getting my starter armor from him, Then when I can afford it bobamaker it is!

The dass jennir is prolly the most complicated looking costume ive ver seen, I was just posting the pics of the various "corellian styles" that I liked and may take bits and pieces from others and make one.

Sintra is prolly one of the most used shapable plastics around and is used by many many costumers. Hell I ws even thinking if I was gonna try my hand at making my own armor I would use wonderflex first then go on to metal.

I like the flow of Jennir, but the patterns are a tad overboard for me...

I like the embroidry work, deffinatly very intricate and to intricate for an actual costume but the rest I like as a base for tunics and such.

Add some plating to your Mando to distinguish it.

I'm looking at replacing my Chestplate with a more 'Cade' style one. Gonna keep the breastplates though.

I want plenty of plating, but not quite as much as Jango, so may miss out the thigh plates.
Maybe a Kama, not too sure on that one yet....

why not just an armored jedi. Something like a jensaari or obi-wan during the clone wars. I have seen quite a few pictures from comics and concept drawings that have that kind of combination. To me, Jedi robes are kinda like a Marines ceremonial/dress uniform, but when they are getting dirty they don some different duds.

I plan on evolving the jedi costume into a clonewars esk, its part of the story that iam doing.

But the group Iam gonna join when I ge tmy mando done they dont like to have force anything pared with there mando. any other classifyication is fine but as long as its not jedi mando or sith mando its cool. You can have a saber but its considered as a tool which I may do I dont know. But I got to figur eout the colors and pattern before I think of extras.

ah, gotcha. I am always surprised by how structured and how many rules there are in some of the costuming groups. But I guess since I don't travel in the circles I don't understand the reasoning. Good luck with your armor though, I am anxious to see its progress!

There all for the benefit of the group and to make good costumes not a shoddy bath towel turned into a jedi tunic and a bath robe into a jedi robe.

Its to keep the look of just came off the set really give great impressions in the eyes of not only the costumers that do make great costumes and to let uncle lucas know that where not f' in around here

I knew there had to be a reasonable reason.

An armored Jedi is always a good idea because it could represent Old Old Republic or Clone Wars era Jedi General. That is actually going to be my next costume,Jedi General that is. Something along the lines of General Kota...

if ya want to do kota then look up on the progress of one on the Rebel Legion.
