Just out of curiousity, how many of you are using your George Bush "Don't hate me" bribe...aka Economic Stimulus Rebate...on lightsaber parts?

I ask because I know about 8 people in my close group of friends that are sabering up with the money and I found that really funny for some reason, got a mental picture of Bush buying us all lightsabers.

I already used mine. I used it for a purpose completely different than it was intended for. I put it towards the enormous credit card debt I have.

If it were up to me, which it's ABSOLUTELY not, Tim would be getting the vast majority of rebate. Unfortunately my wife and I have a nice pleasant marriage and I want to keep it that way, so I'll stick to my 1 order per week limit. But I am gonna try and milk a PS3 out of the deal...MSG4 is a must!

Besides, what a crock--I paid a THRONG more in taxes this past year than I ever did. Made less money this year too... probably the least I ever have. Thanks to a myriad of reasons, gas prices for one, lol.

And I was gonna use that money to restock my clothing supply, Iam lucky my mother clamed me on hers so shes gonna give me a few bones to so I can restock my dresser.

But so far with the money iam getting from my brother for watching his kids I was abel to get a couple pares of jeans and shorts. ITs tough living with only 3 pairs of pants and 1 pare of shorts.

Just goes to show our goverment dosent want to keep its people in clothing.

the checks should have been TRIPLE the asmount... at least!

with the rise in Gas, health insurance and other general costs of living increases.. this is a slap in the face!

Not to mention if you OWE back taxes or even a school loan.. they will just take it.

SO basically..they have this idea to give MONEY to the people to off-set 'hard times'.. yet they did it to make sure they got paid on what was owed to them FIRST!

Well since I went to hrblock too get a rapid refund I have to wait until the end of june beginning of july for my dont hate W rebate. So no I'm not using it to saber up since I havent got it yet. By the way HRblock (HRBLOCKHEAD) jacked up my return about a week befoire they started running those second look comercials so I'm not to happy with w and I absolutly hate HR block

Well, I think us Brits can share your pain with the government jamming the knife in then twisting it.

Av. Family is spending £1000 more on food compared to last year.

Gas/ Electricity bills are up.

Petrol has gone up by nearly 20p since December!!! That's 20% more than 6months ago!!

No one can get on the property ladder, and rental prices are a joke.

Tax rebate? What's that? We won't be seeing any of our money given back anytime soon!

I heard a comedian comment about how our income tax day is at the farthest point it can possibly be from the national election day on a calender year. If you stop and think about it, its true I say we revolt and make them move the eleaction day to april 16th. that way our taxws are fresh in our minds when we decide if the people in the govt get to keep there jobs
