I got the starter kit all ready to go, I now understand that I have to make the hole for the blade screw - probably good to learn that skill anyway...

But some directions of how it all goes together would have been really cool.

I am certain that it likely is somewhere on the forums, but i have not been successful in locating the directions as of yet.

Any thanks here would be appreciated.

The kit I have is the MHS Starter Kit

Everything about wiring you need to know is right here:

Just ignore alot of the stuff bout the sink tube, and go straight to the wiring.

Oh - by the way, I STILL need to figure out how to wire it up correctly...

Specifically, Little battery pack red wire goes to? Black goes to? Resistor gets soldered in where? And the two wires coming off the switch get connected to what?

I know I could probably figure it out (but for the resistor), but someone who knows would be faster and again - appreciated... also..

Any suggestions for padding material for the battery holder? And agin, thanks in advance!

Use the EDIT! Quintuple posts just piss everyone off.

EDIT: See? It works. The button has a picture of a pencil and paper.
Good thing there's no Rep system on these boards. You'd be neg repped into oblivion.

Newest Update on my progress with the MHS Kit...

It is done... for now! I was concerned about the drilling and tapping the hole, but it was very easy to do.

I used my Dremel. I used a very fine drill bit to start a very tiny hole, then used the next size up to make a wider hole - I don't have a vice, so I had to hand hold it and move very slowly.

I then used the largest Dremel bit and made the hole through. It is just short of being the perfect size for a 8 by 32 hole.

Then I used the Tapping tool to make the threaded hole - that took a while, but it worked out very well... having to back out and remove little metal bits quite often.

It is hard to find the perfect thumb screw at Home Depot, perhaps ACE has one...

Anyway, I got the white LED and it looks great. The little colored disks are awesome for changing the color at my whim too! Actually a disk that looks orange a little is the perfect yellow for what I wanted.

If I figure out how to post a picture of it, I will. Not to worry, it will be an awesome picture, shooting video and doing photography is what I do for a living!

Best wishes,

Ray

Welcome to the TCSS boards. Sounds like maybe we still have a missed pic here and there. We have a spot to report that as we recently changed servers.

Now I just have to figure out where it is that we post...

edit- in misc of course
