Sink tube redux

Well while I'm patiently waiting for a few other items to finish my MHS, I decided to rebuild my very first saber.

I changed the blade holder to a number four, added a v-grooved section, and using Jay Gon Jinn's method of adding grooves I upgraded the sink tube it self. Instead of using the MR Luke pommel I'm gonna get another sink tube adapter and use the mps #3.

The paint was chiped and falling off from "over use". The shroud is gonna get repainted with gloss black epoxy paint. And the grip sections getting spray on bed-liner.

I normally don't like replica-ish looking sabers, but this one makes me smile. :) The only thing that would bug me is the big red button, but... remember folks... that is me ALWAYS coming from the "staged combat" perspective, lol.

I say take the paint off the luke pommel and keep it on there, the style 3 just wouldent fit right, it would look to small.

Thanks Novastar, but nothing is permanently together on this one. Those pics are just for mock up to see where I wanted to go with it. Also that switch is not the one that's being used. As soon as I rebuild my savings account from my MHS build I'm gonna place an order with Tim and get a red guarded switch.

That pommel is staying on. I got ahold of my Dad's #3 and tried it out, WAY too small. Did not look "right" at all.

Glad you like it Mav. So far I think I'm probably gonna be going the relic route with this one as that is what I keep hearing. Originally this was supposed to be a Jedi saber, but the more I rework and look at it I think a red or red/o will fit it better.
