Well after seeing the nerf gun my brother bought for his kid but turns out its way to big for him so hes gonna keep it andpossably do something with it.

Well I got some ideas in my head and started to see what others are doing.

Then ultra made some but I cant find the images anymore.

So I got some creative juices going and a blaster will be my next project. Iam gonna do some searching and see what kinda rebel forces there are that we havent seen much of or any at all. I would be way to easy to do a custom buckethead with an altered nerf blaster. So iam gonna do things the hard way, the way I like to do thing. If you start doing something hard its gonna turn out cool, if you doo things the easy way your gonna get bored with it quick.

And I had an idea for this, get some kinda controller so it spins the barrel and when it spins it make the light flash everytime.

But sence it dosent have a forgrip handle its pritty uncomfertable to me so Iam gonna try a different model, Probley this one here.

Sence everyone is doing the long shot I want to try something else. with some ideas I dont want to devulge quite yet.

Man I love when people paint and mod their nerf guns! Most the time I can't tell/believe it's a nerf.

I've been wanting to get the longshot sniper one for awhile. Right now I have the maveric as posted above and the one with the light aimer thingy. I'll have to look into painting 'em to look like awesome blasters. 8)

Off topic side note: Not long after I had bought the maveric, I was admiring it and forgot I had ****ed it and just happend to be looking down the barrel and pulled the trigger to watch it spin. Didn't end very happy. Got shot right in the eye and man it hurt. At least my eye was fine but I was figiting with it for awhile.

That's the same gun that I've painted. 3 of them so far. Buy a lot of masking tape and try not to use metallic paint. It's pretty thick so it will run all over those guns. I primed the hell out of them and it still didn't help. Flat colors work best, and DON'T get "plastic paint". That stuff runs worse than the metallic. A quick touch with the dremel will get the logos off also. Next one I'm painting is the big gun. :D

My son has the Maverick as well as a few other ones, and that thing is the worst of the bunch for actually being able to shoot it. Maybe it's gotten worn over lots of use, but the chamber never seems to line up right with barrel, and the darts won't fire....and it doesn't matter which ones we use...we have the whistling darts, the suction cup darts, the glow in the dark darts and the velcro tipped darts, and it won't shoot any of them.

I have the the two Star Wars versions of the Nerf blasters, the Rebel Trooper blster and the Clone Trooper blaster. both of those are original, but I've thought about painting them.

sweet, I have that gun too! I love how it looks like this huge bad a$$ revolver... I was going to bring it to work but then decided that wasnt the best idea Ive had. Never thought about painting it though that might be cool!

I've got the Longshot, and one of my "when I get around to it" projects - mostly because it'll be easy as heck - is to grind off the Nerf logos and paint the whole thing flat black. Can't decide on what to do the highlights in - might go OD like the mod pack Vazan posted.

Actually, now that I think about it, I could do a "worn" look and do an undercoat of grey or silver, and buff the black off in some spots for that "lived in" look.

These guys, mod thesse things in a totally different way. Me I dont plan on it shooting darts. When I first found the site I was like oh cool lets see what these guys do. I was hopeing they would like mod them to look different, no they mod them to shot them. Theres actually nerf games that can last for days on end. ITs nuts.

Yeah, that's what I was doing, but on the barrel of the revolver, that's the part I'm talking about. It just drips mostly because of the contours and gravity....and high high humidity. (I live in GA)

But what really annoys me is the closed minded nes this nerfhaven has. They think larp and stuff we do is stupid. well to me larp is kinda silly, and prop makers like stuff we do is silly. Yet there running around shooting foam darts at each other. Yeah like they have any room to speak.

Shooting foam darts at each other really isn't that much different than say, shooting rubber BB's at each other, paint balls, laser beams, etc. It's really all a matter of personal preference. Why some people have to knock what other people do for fun is beyond me....

I modded my Nerf Rebel Blaster so that I could wear it with my Rebel Fleet Trooper costume.

Some people just paint theirs and that's it. Or they cut off the ****ing ring and render it unable to fire.

I had to go further than that and I wanted to keep the firing capablity. What I did was to cut off the dart holder on the side, and filled in all the screw holes, except the one to the battery compartment, and cut off the original ****ing ring and modded that. I also took off the clear cover at the end of the scope, painted it black inside (it bugs me to see green or blue inside some people's scopes) and added a circular piece of plastic to mount a piece of red fluorescent acrylic rod into.

I wanted the back to look good, and more like the MR version, so I beefed up the ****ing lever, added a ring and a "plate" that I glued and screwed on.

well folks I already broke my new toy, the handle on the forward blaster...I wanted it off and well the plastic tabs that hold it in broke off. oh well It goes in and slides back, well just get something to wedge it back like a small lego or something and its right as rain.

Persionally with the forward gun on it dosent fly as far or accuratly. 35foot my ***!

20 or so foot is good accuratly, want to make it go farther your gonna have to remove the restricter plates which iam not gonna do cause I dont plan on nerfing. especally outdoors.

My brother took apart his firefly to remove the restricter pieces and it seems to fly the darts alot better. he shot his toe with one and he said it hurt a little.

Just to give you an idea as to how long this is its amost aslong as my leg is. It comes up to the bottem of my hip and iam 6'1" and iam tall in the legs.

Yup, it´s clear those aren´t the ones from the Aliens movie. They just look similar... Thing is, I´ve seen this toys modded to be airsoft guns, and they do look great. I find that its accuracy is best with the foward gun off and seems to go further with it off as well. but then again this is compleatly stock. Iam gonna do something not sure what but got to make sure that what I do will make it still accessable for future mods.

Forsaken Angel has done a couple good ones, He made a GOW lancer, turned out pritty sweet. Captian slug makes the pump action conversion kits for the longshots and his look pritty intresting.

Wity my longshot iam contemplating intigrating the forward gun into the lower section where the bipod used to be like some of the people do but I havent seen an artical or ways to do it so that when you take it apart it will come apart like normal.

I know! I have been hunting for a good toy chainsaw for a very long time. Fisher-Price used to make a cool Hedge trimmer a long time ago, but I have never been able to find it. I always wanted to make an Ash - Army of Darkness outfit for holloween.
