Oh, and I want to thank the Zenkai (of the RPF) for taking the awesome pictures of this saber - which he is the proud owner of.

Yeah, I was just seeing this pop up on the other forums. Awesome work!

I just noticed the blade glows to the edge, I'm assuming that means you made one of "my" blades! Glad the knowledge went to such an awesome saber. :)

You couldent fit a puck in it?

Tom Starkiller
04-23-2008, 08:45 AM
WANT!!
'Nuff said.

acerocket
04-23-2008, 09:25 AM
Nope, no buckpuck since I could only fit a single 17600 cell in it. I only had a .7" diameter x 5" long cavity to fit the power/driver in. So I had to go with the largest cell I could fit and use a resistor. So I went with a .4 ohm 1 watt resistor to get me to get me the correct 1000 ma. I can get about 3 hours of constant run time beore the battery dies.

Thanks for all the comments so far guys. I spent quite a bit of time working on this project.

Ghostbat

That is spectacular!

And 3 hours of run time is nothing to scoff at either!

Daaaammnnn. That is a sick saber dude. I love how the blade plug makes it look just like a normal hilt, no luxeon. The glowing crystal is a great perk as well

You can have one if you pay him the price it costs (A LOT).

Dark Navel

You got sound in those..I think you do. Where the heck are the speaker holes?

On another note any interst in converting my Obi TPM from EL to that??

If intersted PM me and we'll talk!!

xwingband
05-07-2008, 11:18 AM
You even replied on the page where he stated it only had a 17600... it only lights up. NO SOUND!

You also might as well buy the saber as the whole point was an accurate saber... he'd have to redo every parts which would amount to just making another.

Bugger, I already sold my sole to the devil. :( XD

Seriously, they are sweet looking sabers.... so purdy.... so outta my budget. :(

Dark Navel
05-07-2008, 12:10 PM
My bad..I must have missed it. He never specifcally said it didn't have sound, he said the driver and battery. It was a simple question so thanks for jumping down my throat xwing. Sorry for being human and thanks for pointing that out:rolleyes:

xwingband
05-07-2008, 12:28 PM
Well, he said he couldn't fit a buckpuck and only had room for a resistor in a .7" x 5" cavity... it doesn't take a leap to figure out it can't fit sound. Add the fact that there are no sound holes and he didn't mention a type of sound at all...

I'm sorry if you feel it's jumping down your throat, but it's right here in the thread.
