I seriouscly doute tht the inscurance company will fix it, they are gonna total it out and iam gonna get teh option to buy it back and iam not. iam gonna take all that money and put it in a car thats more reliable than that thing.

Was this the neighbor across the street again? And no, I don't think you can buff that out....you'd still a few damage marks, I think.

What happened was a lady in here 50s or so think was going down the road and another car was in her lain not paying attention so she moved outof the way in the other lain well the other car did the same thing and instead of hitting her head on she ran into my car.

So the person that instigated the accident fled and the lady was just so shooken up about it, she kept appoligizing about it, well I guess she hit my car hard enought to knock the glasses off her face.

So I got the police and they did there thing while we did out thing with the inscurance people so we shal see.

yeah, I hope to get a new(to me) car out of this.

But if I do keep the car I know of a couple abody forums that might want to take a crack at buying parts off it.

If I can part it out that is. dont want to take the chance of it not panning out when I could of gotten more fromjust totalling it out and not buying it back.

Id buy it back if it was cheap enough..but thats mean.. if it runs.. even better a spare in case I need a ride.. or hell eBay the crap out of it.. and junk the rest.. still cash..

is the frame bent? if not I bet they dont total it out..

over all,...not that bad.. its that RUST SPOT that is killing you. ;) j/k :)

Hasid Lafre

There is no frame its a unibody, even if I was to get it fixed there would be replacment of sheet metal, and the body work would cost more than a new car. so Iam gonna let the company take it and get a new car out of it.

Hey man that really sucks, and take it from me i've done body work for years it's totalled, unibodies don't recover after that, especially in the rear quarter. That sheet metal reapair is about 2800.00 to reapair and fix, but that's if you do it right, which would be replacing the whole back end to keep the rigidity in the body. Hope everything works out for you.

Wow, that sucks dude.

Something similar happened to my step-brother. He was parked on the side of the road, and a drunken 83 year old lady thought his car was in the middle of the lane and moving. She slammed into the back of his car at over 60 Km/h. Pushed it two car lengths and wrapped the front end around a telephone pole. Needless to say, it was a write-off too. Amazingly, the old girl walked away from it.

Ohhhh SUCK. :(

That's sucks Hasid... but... keep a positive outlook--the old lady is OK, you are alive and not injured... and keep your thoughts to: "insurance will pay... they will pay... I'll get a better ride, and this will all be for the best!"

Your thoughts will help the situation... just remember--it could have been worse--you could be coming to us... sans a leg or an arm... :( Thankfully, that is NOT the case...

Send it to "PIMP MY RIDE"

Well, Iam pritty sure the inc company is gonna total it out. I talked to a friend of mine that does body work and he said that he wouldent even touch it.

Yes the car runs ok but I dont trust it.

A unibody car that sbeen hit will never drive the same. I dont trust it.

Iam glad I wasent in the car when it happened and pimp my rid will only do it if I was in caly.

They're going to total that? Shoot, tis but a flesh wound. I've done worse and still not had them totalled. If I get a chance,I will dig up some pics of my Mustang (after if had a meeting with a telephone pole). Twisted it pretty good (but I walked away with a tiny scratch).

That is awful!! Really sorry to see those pics, feel for you dude - as Novastar said, at least no one was hurt...

And I hope the insurance pay out ok.

If you are able to get another car with the insurance money, I had something in mind that you might like to consider that would hopefully cheer you up a tad...

Dang that sucks!
Love the skid mark leading up to the point of impact.

Thats awsome!

The pics dont do the damage any justice. The whole rear quarter pannel needs to be replaced, and they dont make that? I would have to cut it off another celebrity.

Well I talked to a friend of mine that does auto body and he said he wouldent touch it. and another said that the inscurance company will total it out.

Ace last time I heard of someone hitting a telly pole the car sheared it in half and the driver dident realize the damage or teh fact that there was a girl in the back covered in glass and glass cuts and that sort untill they were a couple miles down the road.

His car was totaled out.

What year nova? your vauxhall is our chevy(fryiydk).

Vauxhall is owned by GM, our Vauxhall Nova is nothing, and I mean nothing, like a chevy Nova!

Heres some pics:

They were made between 1982—1993. As you can see nothing like a Chevy Nova!

Yep, thats a Nova, mine was a K reg.
Would have been an ideal first car for the daughter :(.

gm chevy same diff they both own suby and look what they did to that.

But anyway there was a nova in the early 70s that was RWD and was basicly the same thing as a 73 corolla.

Hell them dont look to bad, stick a cobalt ss motor in that and have some fun on an autoX.

The rest of the generations are ugly as sin.

hahahaha... for sure man.

When I was in high school.. a buddy had one that we all used to pile in.. (the TANK)

I would take one of them first generation novas that you guys got than an actual nova.

xl97
04-16-2008, 10:25 AM
?? as in the US 70's 'muscle car' Nova?

or your saying you'd rather have the smaller 'Nova' ones?

Hasid Lafre
04-16-2008, 10:32 AM
yep, lighter, more nimble, handles better, dosent have leaf springs which are the weaksause for going fast in a car.

If I was to have a big 70s car it would be a buick lesaber custom 4door with a sterio and I would use it for a cruser and gt 3 miles to the gallon.

I hate muscle cars.

Hasid Lafre
04-23-2008, 10:33 AM
Well the insc company said they would give me almost a grand and they take the car or I can buy it back and get like 700 something.

Waiting for the mother to decide cause it is technically her car and I just drive it.

xl97
04-23-2008, 10:58 AM
I would say if the car drives.. $300 isnt bad..keeps you mobile until you get another car..

Hasid Lafre
04-23-2008, 11:12 AM
