Here are the components:

7 Inch MHS Double Female Section
MHS Ribbed Extension
MHS Pommel 2
Rubber Grips
Covertec Knob
SPST Momentary Guarded switch with red button
Build Your Own Luxeon K2 Electronics Kit (Royal Blue Colour)
Luxeon star heatsink
Luxeon K2 Lens Holder
Luxeon Collimator Lens 10° viewing angle
MR Luke ROTJ Soundboard

Thats what i got so far, I'm also open for suggestions as well for components
:)

You'll need the latching version of the switch to run this really, otherwise it will only be on while you hold the switch on.

Unless ofcourse you are using the guarded momentary switch for a clash effect.

The heatsink, lens and holder should be included in the K2 kit i believe.

Get the switch hole drill by Tim aswell, can save alot of grief and time.

Otherwise looks like a good classic style saber, the powder coating now offered by Tim does really "make" alot of sabers.

Yes it will work, just won't be driving the LED as hard as it can be. I believe the MR board will drive it at around 900ma and the K2 looks for 1500ma. Not sure how much you lose by running it at 900, but i'm sure one of the more experienced members will jump in and tell.

I've converted most of my MR sabers and they use Lux3's, and are perfectly acceptable. If the K2 drops alot of brightness you can always go with a Lux3.

Glad to help where i can ;)

Kasri is right, don't bother with the K2, either go for a 3 watt OR a Rebel, Xwings the rebel master, hes the best guy to contact

A k2 on an mr driven board will still be brighter than a luxIII on an mr board. The k2 is just more efficent.
