Seated upon my throne, and what see'th I - but an MHS Style 6 Emitter... Strange, thinks I, for so enraptured have I fallen, to this, the saber birthing rite, that mine brain flys and flows with the forms of functioning fixtures - this:

...figure it out yet?

... isn't that funny? It struck me so funny that I started to laugh, not so much at the situation that I was in, but that I immediately thought "style 6", before I realized that my mind was drifting. This is where ideas come from... sometimes all it takes is a few minutes of "pot time" :)

I've only been savvy to the existence of TCSS for about 4 months now, and everywhere I look I see saber parts! :-D

Man I thought of that almost a year ago! I have the same thing in my bathroom.

I always thought an old showerhead of mine would have made an excellent emitter/blade holder

that's awesome, i keep seeing possibilities in metal desk lamps at target, and emitters/shrouds in the track light displays at lowes

Shower heads work great. These are two of the hardware sabers I built before I found TCSS. A BMX foot peg makes a pretty good grip too.

Haha! I have that exact same thing in my bathroom too! When we get a new one, I'm thinking about trying to make saber out of it.

I wonder if anyone's ever considered a water sound font... somehow appropriate for the showerhead theme... but I can't think of how that could ever be cool...

It could be cool in a zen/elementalist knid of way. Crashing waves for clashes, a runing stream for the hum... just as long as using it doesn't make you need to, um, return to your throne.
I might have to give a water font a go, just to see.

Speaking of "elemental" fonts, yes indeed... Edwin (Eandori) and I were just speaking of such things.

We already have the fire one (phoenix pyre), and I'm in the process of making a version SANS the "eagle/bird" sounds in case some people don't like them...

...but yeah, I've got to make some kind of water, earth and air setup too. As well as something like the "Magic" font. Sort of a nod to M&M (Might & Magic) if you ever played around with the series--even as they changed to Heroes of Might & Magic.

All these things take TIME though... :)

/* Begin Derailment */

A good earth sound font might have some earthquake kinda noises or landslides, otherwise earth don't make too much of a sound.

Ok back to topic...

That crap is hilarious when I first got into saber building my wife was ready to leave me because everytime we went to any store I found at least $50 worth of "parts".

So what does she do...

She gets a job at Menard's for the discount! I love my wife.

Some years ago, I posted I Top 10 signs you play too many FPS games on another site....

It seems about right to start one here about our favorite obsession......

I'll kick off with #10....

#10- You have considered putting Erv', Novastar & Stydur in your will as beneficiaries.
