i got mine from blast-tech, but now tim has the same ones here, so you can buy them from tim. they have a curve in it that fits the curve of the handle. so it fits very nice. they haver 3m adhesive on the back to stick them down.

and you graflex's, are they real ones or replicas? i built 3 with real graflex's. 2 El and 1 with LED and sound.

It all depends on what you're looking for in a grip. If you're going for a Darth Vader-esque grip, I know Tim sells some grips that come in strips...
I've seen people use painted PVC, leather, cloth and about anything else that would fit on a hilt.

Though, for my saber, I just used a foam-rubber grip from an ice scraper. Fits my hands nicely. [:D]

In the past I have used weather stripping and bicycle grips you get the stuff pretty cheap if you want something different from the "standard" Luke/Vader grip. I also did try using a bunch of O-Rings two sizes staggered it was really cool but buying them in the 10 packs at Home Depot was as little more expensive then finding them in bulk. I think I ended buying abount 80-100 rings (8-10 10 packs)

You can get craft foam in sheets at Michaels, and get 2 sided window-plastic sealing tape at Home Depot. Then you can make your own patterns for grips.

Here's an example of boring straight forward Yoda style grips.

They stay on well too.
