This weekend I built and completed another 2 MHS sabers.
This one is my least favorite saber to date (theres no neck--where's the neck?) :
It's a Ribbed section (4") connected to a 7" plain style 1 hilt. I put a 6AA sled in it and a 1000mA puck. I was going to put one of Tim's new switches on it, but I didn't want to waste one on this. As you can see it's got a style 1 blade holder and a style 5 pommel. It's almost 14" long. I wanted to build a saber that didn't have a thin neck-- but I guess it's just not a saber to me... without a thin neck.
The fake switch just below the ribbed section is from a 3 cell Graflex-- I bought a box of about 6 of them in various conditions from a guy at a swap meet-- he had no clue what they were. Smiley
Anyways here are some pictures:

This next one started life as a simple saber for my 17 month old:

I never liked the way it came out-- too plain. While I was taking apart the switch from the 3 cell flash I took the "emitter" off the flash and stuck it on this saber. I'm really happy with how it looks now.

and just to prove that it's not for me:

It's a 26" FX blade (cut down and mirror installed on tip), 4AAA sled and a LUX III.
As always, your candid comments are appreciated, and welcomed. I'm not married to these "final incarnations".
Thanks for your time.
Joe
