As the parts for #3 arrive, I finally finish #1. I may Ebay it to fund another, since now that I have handled a variety of TCSS parts I am more in tune with what I like.

I did some cool stuff tho. The saber starts out with Blade Holder 7, a Choke Point, Hilt 1 and Pommel 4. I added some Testors copper paint as detail and sealed it with Citadel 'Ard Coat. The grib is custom cut rubber shrink. It has a TCSS Battle Blade.

I added a Blue Seoul P4. 4 AAA with a 2.2 ohm 5 watt resistor. It's pretty bright:

But my pride and joy that I'm going to try and work into everything now (tho sound is gonna be a PITA) is the crystal in the hilt. I found a round 30mm lead crystal (for a chandelier I think) on Ebay. I had to dremel the girdle down and then I hot glued it for good measure. Inside, on their own QD, are two 5mm white LEDs (each separately resistored) that make the crystal glow when it's turned on.

Xwing, the Seoul P4 Blue looks very hopeful, have you tried it yet?

Thanks. I can take almost no credit tho :) I've been PMing you guys for months asking questions. Thank you for letting me into your hobby.

Here's a youtube of the crystal in "action". Nighttime, normal house lights on.

Great job, especially as it's a first hilt - looks kind of KOTOR-ish, praps, with the uncluttered lines and the copper section?

.....and the crystal rocks!

I'm going to see if you have stuff on your current work in progress one now... ;)

That thing is SWEET. I really love that crystal, given me some ideas for proto3.

Great job.

Ooo! I like that crystal, very cool. I'll take that idea into consideration for a design.
