I am considering purchasing a CF v3, and was wondering if I could use a proximity capacitance switch like the one at the following URL:

http://www.djandassoc.com/Faraday/faraday-x.html#Faraday%20Switch%20Typical%20Applications

It has both momentary and latched output. I would use the saber hilt as the touch plate, so if I set down (or dropped) the saber, it would power down.

I assume I would have to add a timer circuit so it didn't shut off
during hand switching and such.

Anyone have any thoughts on something like this?

Could be an intresting idea.

I tried that a few years back with a touch panel microchip. It ended up being too complex for me. But this might work.

why do they call it an S foil? looks like an X or a T (depending on the model stunt fighter... 'cause let me tell you, B wings, dont look like Bs....)
