I recently saw someone selling the insides and blade of a MR lightsaber, and I was just wondering if anyone else ever thought of making their own light saber design using the insides could it be used with the MHS led ?

I was thinking about using the insides of an anakin MR fx to make my own design. I think all i need to do is figure out how to heatsink the LED like Ultra does in his conversions.

I have surrendured to the ways of the darkside. Fear is my ally

that's what Im working on now. should get the shipment from tim in a few days, stick it all together and see how it all works.
I am however having some trouble getting the speaker out of the battery holder, anyone do that?

other than the sound ( I don't know much about tims sound system), it would be better to buy the stuff from tim, the driver is also much better for the LED sabers

why would you need to remove the speaker? couldn't you just use it on the new hilt and just make a hole for it,

Reused the battery pack, speaker threaded ring and cast some threads inside the pipe extension.

my double hilt MHS saber is powered by two fx sound boards. Remove the speaker and ditch the battery pack. The pins will always be a weak link. I put both speakers in the connector (carbon fiber tube with tiny holes drilled in uniform pattern. i works great with all features in tact.

I'm using a 1.25" tube, so it wont fit in, theres no way to reuse the battery case. I'm also going to need 4 or five AA in there, so a battery holder fitting three wont work.
