It’s been 7 years since physics and I am very very rusty.

I am a little off on my understanding despite what I’ve read concerning the K2. Since this is my first attempt at a saber, soldering, and custom electronics I want to keep it simple but I also want the most light for my money.

My question concerns the K2. Ideally it runs at 1500, but the pucks are either 1000 or 700. So basically, will running a K2 off of a 1000 puck and AA batteries be efficient?

Like I said I want the circuit simple, either a direct drive or 1 puck. So from experience will the K2 still perform well using the 1000 puck?

I like royal blue and would want to use the K2 because its brighter than the Lux III, but if my setup isn’t going to help much should I stick with a Lux III?

Thanks so much everybody for all your help so far, I’m driving my wife crazy!

What most people do is take 2 700mA buckpucks and run them in parallel to give 1400mA to the LED.

At 1000mA you'd notice the dimness compared to one at 1400mA.
