Looks like you had fun. I can't wait until August when there's a con in Toronto.

It was an adventure at Megacon with Dajo so many strange sites to behold. We did have a good time though and I did have to deal out some Sith Lord justice to a few just to keep things in order.

Very cool! I would love to go to a convention, nothing in my area that I am aware of though :( They look like a lot of fun.

You location says Rochester NY. It should only be about what, a 4 hour drive to Toronto? Come to Fan Expo 2008. We'll hang out.

I have finally taken the time to take some pictures of the saber that I took to Mega-Con. The saber is 13.25 inches long and has a polished brass overlay that was hand cut the get the desired style. The grip section is real leather that is receased into the hilt under the brass over lay. The saber has a red Lux III led with corbins led driver and a MR FX sound board. I used a rechargeable battery pack for this saber and the red knob is the main power switch for the saber. When the knob is inserted the main power is off so there is no drain on the batteries. The blade is a 1 inch diameter Do-Clo blade that is 40 inches long.

That is one ***y saber Do-Clo. How big was Mega-Con? I'm thinking about going next year.

It is pretty big and next year there should be a bigger Star Wars showing with the release of the animated series. If you decide to go buy you tickets in advance, important lesson learned after standing in line for an hour to buy a ticket.:(

Nice work, Don!

Such great detail, and not a lot of knobs sticking out to wreck the sleek and polished look. Sooooo nice...

I bought my tickets early for Dragon Con...I am very glad I did. The line for tickets wrapped around a whole block.

Thanks Matt and everyone else as this saber has been in the planing stages for some time and it has under gone several redesigns and then during a night when I couldn't sleep I began to draw this revision. What can I say but I Like It, I Like It:D:D:D
