As my topic says, when I tried the wiring (without any resistors and with a new 9V battery), the invertor kept making a beeping sound. Does this happen u guys??

Also, the EL blade I bought from the shop is kinda dull during the wiring test tho... and is this normal?

Thx in advanced for pointing out my mistakes[:)]

The inverter does normally make a sound... but it's really a beeping? Normally there is a hum.

As for being dull... depends on the color. Some colors are just weak. If you want to pump up the voltage to see if you like it. 12V would be better and 18 is a max.

Thanks man...
I think it's more of a beep sound than hum sound for me tho LOL,
otherwise, I think it sound be fine (hopefully).
The blade I got from the shop is red...anyhow, I will try to find 12V battery.
Can't wait to finish this and use it in my kendo practice[:D]

I reckon this is a little old on posting but the beep/hum I call a whine it is normal and if you are using a red blade it is the least brightest of the EL's definatly try 12 or 18 volts.
