As a member of the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster, I would find this image insulting and blasphemous as it attempts to take glory away from HIS noodly appendage... well... I WOULD find it insulting except that he teaches us not to take it so seriously. Welcome to the forums.

I suggested to sgdevil to post this here, I love the pic and yes, it helps taking wiring on the fun side. Add to this that the pic is a really nice composition, I personnally love it. Plus he's my first customer from JAPAN ! (rename immediatly your topic title and put "noodle" instead !)

We are not "honoring" spaghetti wiring and I'm not focusing on the original "spaghetti incident", past is past, but let's face it : our sabers are FULL of wires:mrgreen:
Let's use this thread to post pics of wiring, real or fake / artistic / fun. Something a bit like "what's on your bench ?" on the RPF.
what do you think ?
Despite I'm not a moderator, I propose those "rules" :
- you must put a pictures (of your spaghetti stuff / wiring in progress etc), not just text"
- no comments except a few lines attached to your pictures
- no discussion / comments about other's pics
- in a nutshell : rules of the gallery thread

Actually, I have an old wiring project that turned UGLY...

Originally, it was a BOP I saber... which initially was powered by Corbin's board prior to the shows... but... a piece FELL OFF the board, lol... so... then I asked Phil to try converting it to an FX setup. The hilt was a pain in the butt to work with, and it was a struggle all the way...

That's when things went REALLY wrong... Phil ended up burning a hole through the FX board, melting out one of the switch leads! This was caused by trying to get some old solder out of there by keeping the iron there too long. I warned him, but... at THAT time (back in 2006), I wasn't much of an electronics guy. Still not either. :)

Anyhow... Phil tried to muck with it more to see about getting it to work by bypassing the switch lead, and cutting into the + lead... which worked decently, only... to shut the saber off... it just "killed" it, lol. No power down.

Anyhow... the wiring had become a SPAGHETTI MESS... and now, if only I could find that piece o' chit junk pile around here somewhere. I think I may have even offered to whomever could fix it that they could keep it, hahahah

I'll see about finding it and snapping a shot or two. It ain't pretty. :) Then again, *I* did not wire it up.

As much as I love spaghetti, I figured I would show how us bachelors do it :)

that reminds me of something that happened when i went to college at NC-State: while waiting in the morning cafeteria line, i was still slightly buzzed from an acid trip i'd taken the previous night, so in other words, nothing made much sense. when i pointed at what i wanted, this big black cafeteria worker looked right at me and said, at the top of her lungs, "SPAGHETTI?!" suffice to say we called that "the spaghetti incident" from then on out.

In honor of all the Hasbro boards who gave their lives to teach a young sabersmith about wiring. :D
