I've decided to try and build my first lightsaber and have two questions

heres what I have selected so far

Luxeon K2 Electronics Kit

Screw on LED blade holder style 6

Double threaded hilt style 3

MPS Insert style 3

MPS Pommel style 3

4" Double female threaded connector

Double ended male threaded connector

LED "Corbin style" Battle blade 1" OD(complete)

so my two questions are these

1. did I leave any parts out
and
2. should I change any of the peices that I have choosen

You'll need a thumbscrew to hold the blade in. I suggest the 10-32 one. You'll need a drill and tap to do this yourself, or pay Tim to do it for you.

I recommend that you get a couple pieces of the heat shrink tubing. It keeps your solder joints safe from grounding out on the inside of the saber, and makes for neater connections than electrical tape.

I also didn't see the retaining ring for the pommel insert on your list. You can use hot glue or the right sized o-ring to hold it in as alternatives. If you go with the snap ring, you'll need snap ring pliers to put it in.

That's all I can think of. I'm sure the others will suggest something I missed.

Don't forget to post pictures!

If your not running sound get a 1000mA driver.
Is this what you had in mind?
