That thing is beautiful! The MPP clamp offsets the design nicely, and keeps it from being just a tube

Looks good. I'm not normally a fan of clamps/boxes, but the way you have done it, it looks like you can still get a good two-handed grip without it getting in the way. The switch in the pommel is nice too.

I think it still needs something black closer to the emitter end to give it a more balanced look. Perhaps a piece of black, mock carbon fiber tape around the neck piece. Corbin used some on the emitter of one of his sabers and it looks good.

I like that design, i been toying with something simular on paper hehe. I agree with Obi-Dar, it needs some color or something towards the front to give it some balance. ;)

I like it; has that Original Trilogy feel to it. Perhaps some black painted in between the grooves on the grip would complete the look.

the overall design is modeled after Luke's saber in ROTJ, but with my own twist in it. I've considered having the neck piece powder coated in the copper Tim offers, which as it oxidized, would have a good look.

The carbon fiber idea hadn't occured to me, but I think that it might look good.

As for black in the grooves, that piece actually was painted that way. I spent an hour last night removing it and polishing it back up. Same for the blade holder.

I'll post more pix after I decide what to do.

after playing with this some more, I decided to follow the ROTJ feel a little closer. Replaced the royal blue with a green lux III

Man I love MHS.
Updates include the new blade holder, a K2 green, and a new switch in the clamp.
