Blade depth & such

I apologize if this is not the spot to put this, but I wondered how many inches the poly blade is supposed to go into a hilt. Plus.....what is the diameter that is drilled/bored out? I ask, for i am designing one and have no idea what those dimensions are. Thanks guys.

1.5-2" is the standard blade socket depth. Bore it out so the diameter is one inch. Or you can go 3/4" and use a thinner blade.
