Isn't that "guitar" just a plastic guitar shaped thing with buttons on it?

Nightwing

Yes, but I was referring to the game, not the controller (though that's actually really cool too).

Ryma Mara
01-11-2007, 10:32 PM
Meh I think GH was kinda lame., wouldent be be easyer and more productive to go and get an actual guitar.

:?

Eruialsul
01-12-2007, 12:50 AM
More productive, yes. Easier, no. Trust me on that one.

It would also be substantially more intelligent and only marginally more costly.

Just make sure you get an acoustic guitar, since those are far better than the over-glorified electronic toys. Preferably a classical guitar, of course.

Nightwing

Eeesh, people. It's a game... (which, by the way, was voted among the top games of 2006)

It's fun because it's a good game, not because it's a semi-simulation of a guitar.

Hey James, stop by here next time you're in Texas. We'll play some Guitar Hero and some Wii. :D

Yeah, I hate winter weather. In Texas, it's rarely ever cold enough both at ground level and cloud level for it to snow. It either sleets, rains and then freezes, or is freezing rain. Occasionally it'll snow then melt as soon as it touches the ground.

Maybe that's the problem, I remember only bad things from my childhood with this little thing.

And I have not gone to the Melting Pot. We have frinds that rave about it but to me it is about like those steak houses that take 3 hours to eat at. My wife talked me in to going to one for dinner after I worked a 14 hour day with a major PITA customer. I just wanted a shower, food, and bed. nothing ruins your day more than getting rear-ended by some arsehole with no insurance. Atleast you are all right. Did you get out of the car and go "ouw, ouw my neck"? Have you ever seen that commercial?

supertrogdor
01-24-2007, 11:25 AM
Haven't seen the commercial stoney, As for the rear ending, that makes three for me, all of which i was driving the same vehicle, ironic? Perhaps, the first time was a hit and run, Kevin definately grumbled on that one. Police report on the licence plate registered a stolen vehicle, no wonder he was in a hurry to bolt. Second time i had my trailor ball on and destroyed the guy's radiator, his car had to be towed, he nailed me going about 35 or so. This one not so bad, a bit of damage to the bumper, but i think i am young and green enough to take the shock of the impact. He was coming to a complete stop that ended on my bumper. He was driving someone else's vehicle(i would guess an in-law, or close friend as the addresses matched but not last names), and while he was not insured the vehicle likely is, a newer chrystler lhs, maybe 2000 or so. My agent is tracking down the vitals to get my truck fixed at thier expense now. All in all it has been an adventure filled morning.
Ill keep you all posted on progress

I was backed into this summer but it was no big deal. We were in a bank's drive through and the truck in front of me decided empty lane next to them was more attractive.

I would have gone in it if I had room to pass, but I didn't so I sat waiting. His truck was pretty big, me = in small car. He didn't look and backed into me.

Other than that no accidents for me. Quite good for my demographics... I've certainly beaten the statistics so far! :)

ive seen it both ways... i once saw a miata that was struck by a kenworth with a 53" on that before knowing the details i thought had been backed into at the walmart parking lot. ive seen pickups that didnt have a straight panel on them but no torque on the frame that came back looking better than new. and then you'll see some jerk that tries to use his truck and a chain to pull stumps when he's drunk, and aside from the frame being bent and giving the appearance that its running at an angle while in forward motion, looks showroom glossy (ya know you love those last ones fb, thats imo the funniest thing in the world to a body man)

btw guys that van would never be considered for repair, 90% of ford's passenger line is unibody so with nearly any hard side collision (40mph or higher) i can almost promise your looking at the insurance totalling the vin and its off to junkyard heaven...

keep the van around the shop yard fb, you could always make a go kart out of it!

Okay, so last night I logged onto a forum (where I'm a mod), and got a PM with the title "can u ples help me?". I get tons of those, so I thought I'd open it up and help the guy.
It turns out that the PM was just a.. how shall I say it... inappropriate image. Of several guys. It was probably the most disgusting thing I've ever seen, and, being an internet geek, I've...happened across more than any seventeen-year-old should.

I gave him an infraction right away (woulda banned him, but I didn't know how at the time), and then took a look at the rest of the forum.

I just then noticed that all the members that were online were screaming at the mods to save them from the spammers. It turned out that he (and a few other members) had spammed the entire forum with stuff that even makes pron-watchers sick. I had to delete at least a hundred (no joke) threads and posts. It was horrible because we get a lot of kids on that forum.
We only had one supermod on at the time, so it took forever to clean it all up. Fortunately, I'm over the areas that were hit most heavily, so it was all good.
It took a couple hours in total, but we cleaned it up.

Now there's talk that I might be promoted to supermod. :D

But now I still feel like I need to go find some holy water to wash my eyes out with... ugh.

Luckily I was online too. I stopped them while they were doing it. Clean up only took a few minutes. The one time they put them at the end of the threads was even more time consuming to clean up.

On the forums I Admin. we use e-mail verifying and have had that happen as well. They were even e-mailing our membership. We immediately deleted the posts and the members then banned their e-mail domains and IPs. We now eyeball each membership request.
They tried for about a month to get stuff on our forums, but the staff and I tag teamed the boards and kept it off. We now have a lengthy ban list, but it stopped and hasn't come back.

Tenric, tim added a mod that has a black list of the common words they use and stuff. It automatically holds back their posts. Then Tim can ban them if needed. So far it's worked pretty well.

Oh! Iknow! I learned in science! Leonard Coatsworth (a reporter i think?) lost his car when the bridge fell. He claimed that his dog was in the car. I think this other woman fell off too. :P

It was just the dog. (Pup Quiz)
The guy tried to get the dog out of the car but it was so scared it bit him, so he left it in the car and ran.

this is the first time i have logged into the forums in the morning without a new topic on misc...i was astonished
so the snits of the day, well it was sunday really, we had a shooting in the parking lot of walmart, suspected to be gang related 2 people were shot in the back with a .22, the shooter is still at large. Then yesterday some bung hole opened fire in salt lake city killing many(at least 5) including a child and several were injured including a few kids...
what the crap is happening to the world eh?

Lord Maul
02-14-2007, 03:49 PM

Ryma Mara
02-14-2007, 03:54 PM
Some people. if they cant deal with reality then they should do something about it other than opening fire on people.

I say if there gonna kill someone they they should be killed on the spot too, no time in lockup, no court, nothing just a shot thru there head to.

But no this country cant do that. nnnoooo.

Lord Maul
02-14-2007, 04:16 PM
for this case they actually did kill the guy. he had killed so many others that they didn't want to risk anymore lives so they just gunned him down. good thing they didn't hit the backpack, talk about a explosion  :P

Ryma Mara
02-14-2007, 04:23 PM
Well it would take a good bit of gun shooting to make the backpack go up.

I remember a few years ago some dude was so dopted up on coak he was shot at a bunch of times, jumpted off a 4 sotry building, broke both his legs and kept on running. he finally stopted when they shot him in the head.

jjshumpert

2 in the head, ya know they're dead...

awesome line considering it came from morgan freeman!

dunno bout the coke, but we had a call years ago that was a bodybuilder visiting his gf at the retirement home where she worked. he was on your usuall steroid coctail with a crystal boost and had gone in the office to sit down when he told her he had a headache and chest pains. when we got on scene we checked responses, the guy starts breathing heavy like george forman after 10 rounds, came outta the chair, flipped a solid oak desk in my direction and then when i ran outta the room and pulled the door closed behind me he pushed it thru the hinges... last i saw of him there was a ghettobird on him and about 30 uniforms as they chased him thru a vacant lot

In that salt lake shooting he had a shotgun, the backpack with shells, a .357 and another gun(a rifle i believe) but he wounded many, and killed 5-a 15 year old girl 2-29yr old females a 57yr old male and a thirty something male, there was a large front page cover story in my local paper, an off duty cop who was taking his wife out to dinner was the first on the scene, as it was happening right in front of him and he prevented several more killings, although he was not the one to issue the fatal bullet

Emporer Palpatine: You want answers?

Luke Skywalker: I think I'm entitled.

Emporer Palpatine: You want answers?!

Luke Skywalker: I want the truth!

Emporer Palpatine: You can't handle the truth!

Emporer Palpatine:
Son, we live in a galaxy that has blockades and those blockades need to be guarded by admirals with Star Destroyers. Who's gonna do it? You? You, young Skywalker? I have a greater responsibility than you can possibly fathom. You weep for Anakin and curse the Empire; you have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know: that Anakin's death, while tragic, probably saved lives and that my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, saves lives.
You don't want the truth because deep down in places you don't talk about at parties you want me on that throne, you need me on that throne. We use words like passion, strength, power. We use then as the backbone of a life trying to defend something. You use them as a punchline. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very freedom I provide and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said "may the force be with you," and went on your way. Otherwise, I suggest that you pick up a weapon and stand a post. Either way, I don't give a damn what you think you are entitled to.

Luke Skywalker: Did you order the code 66?

Emporer Palpatine: I did the job I had to do.

Luke Skywalker: Did you order the code 66?!

When my wife says that I show her her closet...

Unfortunately that trick doesn't work so well anymore. Something about the total cost of the Luke project. It's all a little fuzzy still.

The doctor says I should be fine in a couple weeks, but I may never remember that night.

Is that a hint of jealousy I'm sensing? lol

I want to grab a higher wattage LED. But I think that's going to also require a more powerful battery so I don't know if it's feasable.

No jealousy... it's just a "what's next?" kind of response. I have mine in the works too. I have my artery clogging board already.

The LED what I figured (not much else really)... no wonder you're wife isn't happy. That means another battery pack and a V which is $25 itself...

Certainly feasible though. You could fit a 7.2V li-ion stick of 18650's up in the grips... or the bottom. Not sure on there, but the grips definately would free room.

That'd be a new charger to boot... now that I think it through.

My charger will handle up to a 7-cell battery. I don't think that's going to be a problem.

However, putting the battery pack in the ribbed section will adversly effect the balance. :?

If you go li-ion it will (not compatible). You certainly could try Ni-MH, but like you said that's a lot of batteries to fit. You may have to take a battery life hit.

If you go li-ion ...

That's as far as I got before I realised what you where talking about... Yeah, the charge specificly says no Li-Ion's... :(

I can't exactly build the saber as well as this. :P

The exception too is I plan on luxin' it up someday. It seems it shouldn't be that hard. 1" may even be possible, but I'm not taking it apart just yet.

EDIT: Heck if I payed Parks his ridiculous prices either (not that you could order it now). Jedi Ranger picked his up for $400... I got it for half ($200 if you're not a math person). 8)

Tim doesn't do sink tubes overlays... but there's no reason you couldn't tackle that yourself. I believe Jonitus notibly and quite a few have done that Qui-gon style one plenty of times.

Bah, go to Jonitus or someone else here. Don't give Parks the money.

I really don't know if Parks could/would do that for you, but it'd be better to support someone here.

I would love to give the buisiness to someone from here. that's what he quoted me with shipping when I called him about it but when he said the id it sounded fishy. but anyhoo I will pm them.

Oh well, in time.

That's exactly how I look at it. I can wait out the market. It's my style... when I was 12 I held on to $100 of christmas money to buy my heiland for $30.

That was back when the Graflex's were going for $200 and it was insane. While I have money, I can wait it out.

I've also made money selling out parts. There's ways.
