This is another group as well. I have been looking to get in to a group or two but I need to finish a costume completely first. I have a Jedi costume(see below) but it needs boots and a better belt, I have a half finished Darth Maul style Sith/Dark Jedi costume and I have a Luke ANH costume that the belt has been an extremly slow process. And of course I have been wishing for stormtrooper armor for a while now but my wife made a condition that if I get back to the weight and size I was when we got married, she would consider the armor but wasn't going to have a Stormtrooper that looked more like Frosty the Snowman or the Sta-Puff marshmellow man running around[;)]

i need to ask this question here becouse i asked in a vader MR forum but no answer.so i am asking if tims blade holder for the 05 vader MR will work in the 02 vader MR.the inside diameter is 1 and 3/8 of an inch. does the vader 05 have the same inner diameter.please need help

I think the best thing would be to email Tim directly, we didn't ignore you in the other thread it just would be a better question for Tim since he is always eight steps ahead of us on what conversions work with what.

Since I'm basically waiting on eveything I was thinking of making a blaster rifle. I have an old toy crossbow that dressed up might look pretty neat.

I have a friend that was/is Home Schooling his kids. He has sent one of them to school now though. It's a private school, and I don't know what grade he's in. But I think that may be the way to go.

Home school them up to, say, 5-6th grade, then send them to school. Then they shouldn't pick up the bad habits from their peers so quickly because they will be more mature.

My friend says his kids get plenty of social interaction with Church groups, Book clubs (Barns & Noble does stuff like that) and neighborhood kids. All situations that can be better controlled by the parent in case things get out of hand.

I think you’ll see a lot more kids being Home Schooled these days, so far as the income will allow. However, I believe there are Tax Brakes for it, or at least programs to get school supplies and such.

I got into alot of fights in school when I was a kid. Had I been home schooled, I would have never gotten into all those fights, and then where would I be? So I say, send your kids to school so they can get into fights; it builds character.

You have a valid point there ultra. I was always big and tall in my class so I ended up in more then a few scuffels coming up since some kids thought if they could beat me then they would be the toughest kid in school. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, I got to a point where I was called the bully beater. Didn't really care for that but I wasn't fond of taking crap either.
I think you also learn a bit of self control as weird as that sounds.

I was always the biggest kid in class and it did tend to cut down on the fights most kids just didn't want to mess with me, of course I had a bad temper and rumor had it that I was a little crazy which was possibly true, I did tend to loose control when provoked so as a rule I didn't go looking for trouble but if it came to me then I dealt with it. I had the fortune to grow up during the 70's when there
were a lot of racial riots and I was about the only one that was left alone they were afraid I might kill someone. It has taken many years to find a calm that allows me to be in control of my temper.

Try to find the Adhesive Promoter swabs...

If you can get your hands on some of that stuff you will never be able to get that tape off!

Just wipe it on, let it dry, and you're good to go! Just make sure you get it right the FIRST time! Or you will be very mad[:(!]

I got some real snitz, I got my first negative feedback on ebay from a guy who never paid for an item, then he says I used rude and bad words when he said that he needed more time to pay, the truth is that he never bothered to contact me at all, what a total dead beat. The guy then came and back and bid on another auction and I canceled his bid and asked him to please not bid on my items as he had no intention of paying, (maybe that was the rude part) there are a few real jerks on Ebay that ruin what would be a really great place.

May some real snitz rain down on this one.[}:)]

Ok the snitz gets deeper, I filed a complaint with ebay and they recommended I request the contact info for darajadeeu and it turns out that the regestered name is: Dara Jade, can you believe that one.
And the phone number given has been changed and when I called the new number they claim to have never heard of the person imagine that. I have sent another request to ebay to remove the feedback, so we will see if they do anything.

I hope you are able to resolve this issue Lord Do-Clo. That is really Snitzy that they would do that, it would seem to me that a deadbeat bidder would just not post feedback and craw back under whatever rock they came from. It is a shame since there are so many positive transactions everyday but it's the Snitzheads that have to ruin it for everyone.

I would not normally bother but this one is wrong it is an out right attack on my character and that don't set well with me. I do everything I can to make my ebay customers happy and then I get a false buyer that defaults then waits 45 days so there is little that done to leave negative feedback full of lies. I know that this is an out right scam to make other saber sellers look bad and at this point I suspect just about all other luxeon mr sabers sellers on ebay except ultra. So I am pushing ebay on this one to get it totaly removed from my record and to have this guy deleted from ebay since he supplied false info to ebay it can be viewed as fraud.[:(!]

I also got The Wizard of OZ on DVD and The Dark Side of the Moon, again... (I lost my last copy of that CD). For any of you that didn't know, if you play these 2 at the same time, the CD acts as the music for the Movie, to put it plainly.

The wifey took me to see The Da-Vinci Code Saterday.

I liked it. It's not an action film, like I think everyone's expecting. It is the book. And they stayed pretty true to it, for the most part.
There are some minor things that they changed, one being the outcome, wich seemed to annoy my wife I think.

There were many things that wern't explaned very well, but I read the book so I knew what was going on. But for someone who didn't, it may get a little confusing at times.

As a rule when a movie gets bad press or low ratings I find that it turns out to be a movie that I really like the movie. A good example is the movie Hoodwinked that came out a few months back and it didn't seem to do so well but I laughed my but off through out the movie, a really good movie for kid and adults.[:p]

I will probably get yelled at for this cause i know it is posted somewhere in here i cant find it.So anyway i have a 1999 Qui-gon jinn hasbro board. Does this board need a voltage regulator and if it does will the 2.2 ohm 5 watt resistor work for it. I am using a four AA battery pack i know the suggested voltage is 2.2 ohms 4.5 watts.So can someone help me .

yep friday afternoon. and both my wife and i and a few other friends who seen it, all say the same thing. great effects, lousy storyplot. only thing it had goin for it was the special effects. cuz the story sucked. we all were wishing we hadnt spent theater price to see it. more of a video only 2 to 3 buck rental than 8 bucks a head. still waitin for another friend to see it, if they really want to, cuz im telling my friends who havent not to waste their money till its on video, to asctually see if there was a short thing at the end of the credits as someone said. i didnt see it cuz we were so disgusted with the movie we left as quickly as the credits started rolling.

It should be like all the other boards and take 4AAA or AA's... is this LED or EL though? You'd have to follow what Do-Clo did for EL or the established hasbro diagrams here for LED. You wouldn't need a resistor for LED but there'd be the clash on flash.

EDIT: Don't you love the Qui-Gon board?[:D] All of the sounds except the clash rock! I'm using it on my MHS hilt for the tutorial. I replaced the speaker and it's sitting pretty waiting for the parts to be ordered.

So today everything that could go wrong pretty much did.

First thing this morning I go to pour my coffee and its cold. I shoulda went back to bed right there. So I get out the door to meet with one of my buddies so that I could follow him to Sears so he could get his truck some new rubbers and a break job. They had a sale and he wasn't sure if the rotors were shot or not. That was done on to business, we head over to Home Depot to pick up a bunch of interior doors, vinyl floor, and ton of little odds and ends crap. I reckon all the staff had cold coffee too cause not a dang person except for my floor guy Charlie was nice or helpful. Thanks Charlie[:D] So we are dragging the roller steps around to get what we needed and noone seems to give a damn and when we go to check out the cashier had a $#!^FIT when we tried to explain that if there was any barcode on the cardboard roll that the flooring was wraped around that it wasn't right because it was an empty roll and this paper had all the info on it. Now I am not sure how many of you folks have bought vinyl flooring before but when ya get a large amount they roll it out cut it and wrap it up so you have something somewhat easy to carry. Now if this guy was in the retail lines I reckon I could cut him a break for not being sure of that or something but guys, we were in the contractor line! (Yes, although I am doing the sit on my arse and watch the kiddies thing I still have my business accounts with HD and Lowes)
Ok, whew! We are out of the HD from Hell and decide that we are on the early side of lunch so let's do that before we get anymore in to this. Well the girls did not like the trip to HD not including a trip to Toys-R-Us so they got their devil on in the restaurant[:(!]
Finally, we get to the house and I am using my circular saw and the dang thing just gets to smokin! Magic Smoke in the electronics is heartbreaking but when ya set off the fire alarm you just want to cry! Now any of you guys who don't know Fire signals on an alarm in most states are dispatched right away ie no callback. I am a STRONG believer in this and would not want it any other way. So I call up the central station and explain that my saw burnt up but no harm so we are clear. Easy right...

I forgot my dang password! Now remember I have been installing and servicing these things pretty much my whole adult life, rule #1 never forget your password[B)]

OK so that is alright now we are back to the other Home Depot on my side of town to get a saw and maybe we will make it through the getting the house ready for market.
As for my buddies truck which I agreed to get the tires for since he has been doing awsome help with not only my house but my mom's as well. (Yes mom and mom-in-law are both within an hour and a half away, that's why we liked Florida[;)]) What was supposed to be a two hour job we managed to get the truck back at about 6 after they had problems with parts I think more then once. $1200 at Sears, $1200 at Home Depot and we put the contract on the other house tommorow and I still don't have this old girl ready to go yet. This one is going to kill me or cure me for sure. I am darn sure this is the last move for awhile.

OUCH [:0]$1200 for tires and brakes man I am glad my brother manages a parts store and I know how to do the stuff myself (and I work in a dealership that has the tools to resurface rotors and mount tires)I think the last time I bought tires for my truck I spent 75 per tire and the brakes were 35 for hardware and rotors per. I feel for you man

The really sucky thing is that if I don't get the house on the market on sold quick then I am really up Snitz creek. Don't want to have to start paying all that off!
My wife's sister in Florida was in the car biz so when we were down there it wasn't so bad. I can do all the little things myself and my buddy is pretty decent as well but with everything else going on changing breaks and rotors was the last thing I wanted to mess with. I have a Heavy Duty Chevy and he has a Heavy Duty Ford and the dang tires for these things just downright hurt compared to your standard SUV/Truck.

Now I am going to go get a big ole block of cheese to go with my whine.[:D]

James I am sending you a big block of cheese[:D]. It seems like everyone has some turmiol of some sort going on. Moving is never an easy task and selling your old housing when you have a contract on another puts you under the gun. I hope all works out well for you.

I just have the Jedi garb and a Maulish/Dark Jedi type of thing that started life as my old gi.

I do want to do some armor pretty bad and have been eyeballin the Tie Pilot cause A) It looks cool and B) I am not so sure Stormtrooper armor would be to appealing on me these days[;)]

I like the Snowtroopers alot as well so that is a thought too.

I am a heavier guy but have been working with my armor to make it look right on me, to tell the truth the fx armor seems to be built for people like me as most of the pieces are oversized. The bucket that most people complain about being to big really looks correct to me when I wear it of course when I put it on my wife it was huge.

I had 12 dozen eggs today in my fridge. I called up my Aunt and Parents to get them to take some.
$1.00/dzn.
It basically pays for the feed.

They're doing a number on the yard too... Mostly in the pen, so it really doesn't matter, but a couple know how to get out and they dig holes in random places all over the yard.

I finally saw King Kong. I was not impressed.
The effects were great, but certain scenes kind of ruined it. specifically, the "Ice Rink Dance Scene" with Kong was horrible.

Yeah, I agree, that scene was silly and unnecessary.[:o)]

I also thought the scene with Kong vs the T-Rexes was way too long and overdone. [xx(]

When they were about to debut Kong on stage, I kept looking at the photographers and seeing if I could tell if any of them had Graflex flashes. Am I a Star Wars geek, or what? [:p]

I think I spotted a few, but I'm not absolutely sure, it was kinda hard for me to tell, with the photographer's had on them, and I'm not used to seeing the bulb reflectors on the top of them. It was the right era for them, I know they were widely used in that time period.[;)]
