I bought my relic!

I've finaly bought my relic, the MR Anakin FX! I say relic since they're getting rarer by the day. anywho, I got it off officemax.com thanks to a tip from somebody here sorry can't rember your name.
Not sure when I'll get it, but when I do I'll post pics of my happy little self. :lol:

Sorry maul it's the ROTS hilt. I know its not extremely rare maybe not even rare, but I like it. It will be rare sometime in the near future.

that was me that posted the Office Max tip after a friend of mine at worked gave it to me... but I have bad news of sorts on it.. I ordered my Darth Maul on the 11th, and it still hasn't shipped, nor has my buddy's (and he ordered on the 8th). I think I'll have to call Office Max today and find out what the hold up is.

of course I was in meetings all day and didn't call today. I'll try and call them tomorrow. Worst case is we find out they're sold out and have to refund our money - which will suck for me because I went to a local store and paid cash for a gift card to buy the sabers (maul and obi) online because I didn't want wifey to see the credit card transaction! If they are sold out, then the least I can do is post to the forum so nobody else gets suckered.

I actually called today.. they originally said it would ship within 5-7 business days, and yesterday was day #7. They're putting a trace on the order and will get back to me via email (my preference). I'll let you know how it turns out.

my buddy got an email today from officemax apologizing saying they were out of production and could not ship the item :( He ordered the obi-wan, which I see they've removed from their website. It looks like they still list Vader, Maul, and Anakin though.

Well hopefully they do have the anakin in stock and not just a picture.

I still haven't gotten an email yet, and I ordered both an Obi-Wan and a Darth Maul. Hopefully the Maul staff was at least in stock. I'll continue to update as more info comes my way. In the mean time, I'd treat OfficeMax with a bit of suspicion.

a month after the order was placed, they finally got back to me:

"Regarding your recent OfficeMax order # 344xxxxxx, I was informed today that the following items have been discontinued by the manufacturer and are unavailable to us at this time. The items have
been cancelled from your order and no charge has been made. I apologize for the inconvenience.
