Is there anyway to check the status of my order while the shop is closed?

You get emails with updates on if your saber has been shipped (at least I do). Not sure if you'll still get them with the store closed though.

ya hard tellin, I usually got my stuff within 3 days (not including weekends or holidays) seems I got the items shipped email 1 or 2 days before it arrives.

Hmmm well I made my order last Wednesday I believe and it hadn't been shipped yet since they needed to make a blade for me. Tim said it would be shipped a few days after Xmas.
