Ok, here we are... my first saber, my first mhs design... ^^

It's simple ok, but i designed it around it's purpose, mainly, for fencing in makashi or shien's reversed grip.
I'm not completely convinced of covertec clip, i fear it will be uneasy while handling the saber... maybe i'll go for a D ring or a leather wrapping with a fancy knot...

What do you think?

Corbin is working on an mps insert design of sorts to hold a dring.

Its in the wishlist's somewhere.

Just so you know, the blade holders take 2 inches off the blade. I'd go with 28'' so you can get 26'' out of the blade holder. My friend does the same kind of fencing/tai-chi type style, but he has a 30'' blade. It's almost perfectly balanced. Food for thought, not telling you what you should do.

yup somebody (maybe you?) already told me so i put a 26 blade instead of a 24 ^^

That looks good, but I'd move that thumbsrew back to the mid-point of the blade holder, so it bites on the 1" (center) point on the blade inside the holder.

I am a big fan of the o-rings, they really add some great punch to the bare MHS parts.

Looking good so far dude.
I used the same parts for my bro's saber, only added MHS claws.

Too small for me as main saber, but ideal for off-hand one, though I go as small as a 20" blade.
