Do this:

All I did was five minutes with a xacto and some chrome tape. The chrome tape I got at an auto parts store. It's a real  product for blinging up your car with "Chrome Stripez" (actual product name).

Any idiot can do this. A sharp knife along the edge of the band cleans off the excess. So a roll of $5 tape (with tons left over) and 5 minutes increases the look of the saber 100X easily.

Yeah. I guess he doesn't own an Ani because the difference should be obvious.

EDIT:
Here's the stock FX for comparison. Obviously the one I had up there is in the middle of a conversion.

That, and the fact that you did it so well I couldn't see anything that looked added on.

This idiot was smart... lol.. in stead of posting that i was an idiot and didnt see what was done (because i dont yet own an ANI) i waited for someone ELSE to do it for me.... lol... but there are no actual idiots on TCSS right guys. just those with a little more experience. and X has quite a bit of it. very nice job.

If Hasid can be trained, anyone can!!!! LOLOLOLOLOL!!!! JK Dude!

Jay, I agree, Idiots shouldn't be playing with knives. They should play in the road more.

Anyway...... X, great job as always. I was looking at using tape to cover afew bits on my Heliand before I rebuilt the grips on it. Just couldn't get the hang of it, so the O-ring grips went back on.
