simple saber

hello saber customizers

i am new to saber customization and just joined
i've been looking at mr fx sabers and ultrasabers for a while and just discovered this site, its amazing, a star wars nerds cocaine

that being said

i'd like to start my first saber, and i'd like it to look good (be able to change the blade color, have a sound system, etc...)

and be fully functional, but stay relatively simple
if it turns out well, i'd also like to duplicate it and be able to form it into a double bladed saber
i'd also like to be able to change the parts out a bit

anybody have any tips for starting out?

Read the section titled "New to the saber scene" and then follow up by reading the tutorials section. As you do, spend some time looking around on the store to familiarize yourself with the parts, and get some ideas by browsing through the gallery section on this forum. When you've finished with that you should have a pretty good idea of what you need to do.
