not sure where i should post this but i found this as i was searching for Christmas gifts.

I found this Multi-Color LED Lightbulb with remote.

* IR remote can turn bulb on/off and adjust colors, transitions, brightness levels
* 4 transition effects - flash, strobe, fade, smooth

Who would want a 2 inch diameter saber?

maybe someone with a 2 inch grip.
i don't know. i thought this might help, but i guess not.

Not sure how you'd power that with batteries

I am sure that there is a power supply in the base of the unit to convert 120 volts ac into a much lower dc voltage.

Dollars to pesos that these use the Prolight 3x1w emitters. I even have a few of those lying around.

I'd like to play around with one, if only for the control circuit.

These are some really interesting ideas Torlin, lets see what Do-Clo can do with his magic techno skills. I bet this will turn into something REALLY cool.
