new to building lightsabers i have a question on wiring

i know that you can have a rechargeable battery and a dc charger is my design possible to recharge the battery also i need to know where to put the resistor.

Looks good assuming when you actually do it you keep the positive and negatives straight for the LED.

As for the resistor... if you're reading that left to right you could put a resistor on either pos or neg line after the recharge port.

Also, if you have a recharge port the quick connect for the battery pack seem rather redundant. If you charge it at the hilt why would you need to pull it out?
