Dear Novastar
I also mentioned this in a PM but here are the ID's:
Double Male Coupler: .9999"
MHS Double Female: 1.2425"
Also neither style of 4AA Battery Holder will fit inside the double coupler.

well nova since you and X seem to be the guru's on li-ons and crystal focus, I have a question.
right now this is what I'm workin with hilt wise. I need input on the direction of batt type and which end to put them. I am using ervs board in this and the batt pack I had gotten won't fit into the ribbed or the female to female adapter. where the 2 inch f/f section is I'm putting either a graflex clamp or one from king of parts, havn't decided yet. I would like as many volts/mah as I can get(atleast 7v). and I would like to access the sd card from the pommel.

Let me say Sorry for all the confusion, I didn't want to cause any trouble between Vortex and Nova but that hilt does look like quite a challenge.

You could get a 2-cell 18650 stick pack from batteryspace.com and put that in the ribbed section. The pack is a little over 5" long with the bend of the wires, but it packs a punch (7.2 volts and 2400mAh). You should have ample room in the hilt for your crystal focus board, speaker and some decent resonance.

One bad thing, you have to buy the stick packs in a lot of 5 at a time. Maybe ask around and see who would go in on an order with you?

thanks jonitus. I have had my share of electronics bull yesterday and then my UltraSsound died again, I'm not messin with anything other then an mr board. The crystal focus and my 2 parks qui-gons, obi tpm and my new mhs are goin to xwing to wire them up.

I'll e-mail you vortex... I'm thinking of making another C-sized pack for your saber. 7.2V at 3300mAh! The draw ratings are based at 2A too... so huzza those babies give good runtimes.

It's also a 25500... so it's shorter than stacked 18650's. I don't want to send my money to battery space either. If 18650's are what will work best I make 'em myself with already protected ones.

Speaking of run times and small batteries

X, what kind of run do you get out fo the c123a in your sidious?

Not sure... I don't have my sidious at school with me so and I haven't sat there to do a drain test. cr123's are litiums and higher capacity than AAA's (1300mAh vs 1000) so that's the best I can say... better than AAA's.

cool. I'm thnking about putting one in my son's saber to save space (he's 4, so small hilt).

Thanks for the info, and sorry to derail the topic.

I am trying to find a source for the 25500 sized Li-ion batteries. Also the protection circuit for 2 batteries stacked.
