I looked at the picture show of how to convert the MR sabers. However I am confused as to where you put the resistor for the Luxeon LED at? Could someone please tell me or put a picture up?? I am confused... THANKS!!!

I dont use a resistor. Where I tap into the board it has allready been resistored.

So when you wire the lux III to the MR board you use no resistors? No matter what color of LED?

I'm confused what's all this resistor talk then? Here and over on the Jedi Council Forums?

An LED needs some resistance to light. The Hasbro and MR boards already apply that resistance. The only time you need to add resistance is if you are just going for a plain batteries to LED. Like in the basic LED hilt tutorial.

P.S. You can edit instead of posting within minutes of your last one.

What if I wanted to ohh say cut the mAH down to help with battery life? Yes I know it also effects the brightness too...

Battery life is not much of a issue that I have ever seen.

I do believe that maH IS a releative battery life rating (the higher the maH, the longer the bettery(s) last). I think you mean reducing the voltage, the extend battery life.

I dunno what I was thinking.. I was thinking putting a resistor to cut down ohh say 1400mAH down to 7oomAH on an LED would give me longer battery life... Even though it'd dim the light..

You are confusing mA with mAH.

mA is the amount of current in the circuit. If you used a larger resistor you would dim the LED but I am pretty sure since the resistor would be burning off the extra mA you wouldnt be saving any energy.

mAH is how long batterys will last..see previously posted link

Ahhh Ok Thanks! SO all I'd do by that is dim the light..
Now only if someone can answer my Question in the other post about the sounds on the Vader and Anakin 2005 Sabers
