So here I am yesterday at the local Tandy Leatherworks store, spending way too much money (which should be going to the TCSS) for the equipment and material to make a pair of belts. And then I get on today and see you are selling belts  (they look very nice BTW!)

I am going to need one in black, so I guess it is allright that I am planning on doing them myself, but if I had known 24 hours earlier, I would have definitely bought one.

Makes me wonder what you guys are planning on branching out into next?

I hate when stuff like that happens.

Next thing you know Tim will be selling full costumes then blasters then maybe full sized X-Wings!

Wow. What are you guys gonna branch into next?

Though I suppose the belt could be considered a saber accessory...after all, that covertec clip or d-ring clip has to go somewhere....

How about some gauntlets and braces then for hand protection while wielding the sabers while you're moving into leatherworking?

Obi-Shaw is the man with the beard in the middle with the Rebel Legion Bowling Shirt on.

Oh and judging from the pics I think the astrodroids head does move.

I think its really cool that someone will go that far but Iam a big honda and acura fan so I see that as messed up.

Kinda a catch 22

Back on topic. Did anyone mention black belts? I see Tim just listed 3 of that color.

No, just that I used that as a way of making me feel better about spending the money to build them myself since I need a black belt.

Speaking of, I have it 80% finished, just waiting to get the rest of my costume done so I can make sure it fits nicely over all the additional material of the costume. Since it was my first leatherworking attempt, if you look closely you can determine where I screwed up, but from a distance I don't think you can see the imperfections and extra holes  . I also am planning on some pouches which would conveniently hide the bad parts.

Here it is:

i heartily concur. leatherwork is not an easy skill to master, and that belt looks as good as many i've seen that are "finished". can't wait to see it 100%.
