Plastic Parts for MHS ?

What do many of you guys use for like shrouds, and say other plastic add on pieces? I was thinking PVC would be usable as you could shape it and shave it down to create lines and ridges as well. I see the one poly shroud for sale @ customsabers, but thats it.

I see so many designs from you all, and am very new to the scene of saber creation. Ive begun putting my first order together to make my first one, and am trying to learn the best ways to craft them.

I actually tend to use rubber grommets/car valve/rubber parts to create what I need... for both hand grips and to protect the sabers from damage during drops.
