well a lux star has an od of .827 in. not sure of what your asking. I suppose it depends on the batt pack. please clarify.

Im trying to find out what the outer diameter is of the 3watt led completed. Kinda trying to figure out if it will fit inside my emitter piece.

Im thinking of using the thinner blades but will the 3watt fit in side the emitter hole using a smaller 3/4 blade??

What is the diameter you have to work with? If it's 3/4" there are other options like Rebels or Emitter verions of the normal LEDs.

The emitter is 7/8" big.

are there other alternatives? or should i just get a emitter with a 1" opening?

If your emitter ID is 7/8 inches (.87 inches) then the Lux star will fit (.82 inches) but you will need to make a heatsink to fit in there and a ring to hold the lens down and stop the blade. Going up to a 1 inch opening would save you a lot of trouble.
