Hopefuly you can see the pictures. I tried prying them out with srewdrivers and dental picks, and I've tried drilling them out, yet they still won't buge. Corse all this is aperating on the asumtion that they have to come out, for me to access the LED and shock sensor, and install the new lux 3. Short of cutting through, I'm at a loss, and quite :? with the whole thing. Can any of you guys help me?
Please and Thank you
Sorry about the spelling.

Well, thanks anyway. Just wish me luck, that I don't kill the goodies underneath. :( (I don't mind saying that I'm really scared about that)
Hey, by the way, are those pins suposed to just pop out or do you push them threw. I thought they popped out, but, if that's not the case....
I know, I am very much a noob.

You can always copy and paste the addresses. He got the Image tags messed up, and he put the page addresses, not the image URLs.

If course, someone could always help him with that.

First two are pretty blurry.

You're still going to convert that? Looks like those parts are pretty messed up. What did you take it apart with, a chain saw? :P

Yeah, I figure that I don't need I'll that plastic, with the machined blade holder that came with the kit. You can sure see all my different attempts at getting that thing off. those pins were so gibbled that I wound up having to just cut it out anyway.
"Let this be a lesson to you, this is what you should not do," is now ringing through my head.
Thanks guys

No offense dude but you need to take your sabers apart more carefully.

or use the tutorial. If he's not using the parts anyhow. 8)

I had that same problem, I just drilled two holes next to the pin on each side and used a needle nose to pry it out.

And guys its ok that the plastic blade holder is all cracked, if hes converting it, hes going to be using a metal blade holder anyway. (you should have seen what was left after my ani conversion, not pretty)

I just took apart my Anakin and you guys are making this harder than it really is. All the screw covers/caps are just glued on. A small Flathead screwdriver of knife will remove them all. As far as the little brass pins on the sides, they are also glued on, you can get the same screwdriver under the sides and "POP" them off. Remove the switch from the switch housing/cover by removing the 2 small screws. Tuck the small switch inside the hilt (the tube) and if you have removed all the screws the whole blade and power assemble will slide right out though the blade end of the saber.

Now with the blade/electronics removed take the tape off where the black and chrome parts come together. Pull the two pieces apart slowly as they are connected. Disconnect the power plug (it just pulls off just grab it firmly near the plug.) Now there are 4 flat headed pins on the back half of the chrome pieces , 2 on each side. They can be removed with the small screw driver we've been using. Remove All 4. The next 2 pins are a little harder but relax, they're the last 2. Going from either side it doesn't matter using a PUNCH of small phillips head push the pins though the tube. They are one long pin not two on each side. A pair of plyers is helpful as well. Once you get them pushed out enough you can pull them the rest of the way with the plyers. Once all are out the blade will slide out the rear.

You can use the info as you see fit and can be used in conjunction with the pics found here. Sorry I didn't take pictures of the process but I wasn't planning on making this TUT. Good luck. Send a message if you have a question.
