I already have a hilt I made from bigyellowbox( I dunno if I can link to it? ) and it has everything I need on the outside. However, looking at the kits sold here (the polycarbonate tube for $30, and the 3w kits for $18) would that be all I need to have a lightsaber ready? Or will I need more parts to hold the tube and what not in?
Thanks, and sorry if this was the wrong forum :(

is it an 1.50 sink tube? you might need the sinktube to mhs adapter and blade holder, depending on what look your goin for.

it's a 1.50 sink tube but i have pvc that fits outside and inside of it. right now it has a kodak film thing inside of it kinda for where a blade would come out of it, but yeah. i'm not looking for any kind of look, just to get the blade in there and able to swing around and maybe play around with my friend with his forcefx blade.

(this isn't mine, but based off of it.)

http://bigyellowbox.tripod.com/plans06/emitter16.jpg is what's *in* the tube right now for a fake blade.

if the main hilt part itself is from a 1.5" sinktube then get a mhs bladeholder and mhs to sinktube adapter then all you have to do is drill some holes in the sink tube, bolt the adapter to it then assemble your led kit.

Install it and then screw it all togeather and add a blade then you should be done.

many have made byb style sabers and then added tims bladeholder and sinktube adapter to them.

So I should need http://www.thecustomsabershop.com/pc-654-33-mhs-to-15-sink-tube-adapter.aspx and http://www.thecustomsabershop.com/pc-637-31-screw-on-led-blade-holder-style-1.aspx and I'll be set?

yes, then you will need a blade and an led kit.

The blade is what 30$ I beleave and the led kits are 20$ or so.

Do you have a pic of your "emitter" end of the saber?

I got the blade and led kit covered :P and those two, so far. Again, this isn't mine but I followed instructions to mimic it.

The best picture I can find is http://bigyellowbox.tripod.com/plans06/emitter17.jpg
But the actual weird thing inside the sinktube can just be taken out (Mine is just held in there by pressure since I'm switching it out for this, and the black PVC is over the sinktube and is just drilled to connect.

To explain it better, my hilt is basically empty. It just has that PVC design drilled on to it over the outside (will I have to take that off to fit the blade holder?)

Ok so take the sinktube to mhs adapter, and a bladeholder of your style choice.

Persionally I think a style 7 bladeholder would look good with that style slightly recesed into the hilt itself. but thats just me.

Then get a blade and a led kit and put it togeather.

Yes, I've made nine sabers with blades adapted from Big yellow box hilts, four specifically from style 6 (and each one progressivly looks more like Vader's real one) Did you modefy the design at all, or did you follow it exactly? Because if you followed it exactly, I've noticed that those plastic windshield wiper track grips look nice, but kill the hand in a duel. http://www.thecustomsabershop.com/pc-891-7-custom-formed-rubber-grip-set.aspx Although these still aren't the most comfortable grips, they're much better, and more "movie accurate" to boot. Be sure to post pics when you're finished!
