Ok a friend of mine got this automotive rocker switch with an led in it.

Now iam trying to figur eout how to make use of it for the saber.

It says connect pin 3 to the chassie ground.

pin 1 to a 12V source and pin 2 to the wource to the positive leades.

Now How would this switch wire up for a resistor driven saber?

One to the ground and dasy chain the power to the other 2 leads?

Now he wants to use the led in the switch.

Its highly likely that unless the back of the switch has seperate connections for the light that the led already has a resistor built into the switch. This will have been designed to light up properly at automotive voltages ie 12v. Without opening the switch itself up your stuck with that.

It will light up. its just gonna be very dim.

My friend I think has figured it out.

The 2 positive contacts are for the positive in and out like tims switches do. then if you run a ground wire to the negative then it should light up the led he thinks.
