if this happens, and it's an online game, I say everybody gets a Wii, and we have a css vs mode night once a week to see who is the true master.

Yeah, that would rule. I've got a Wii and would LOVE a game like that.
Actually, what'd be awesome is if someone set up a TCSS server for PC games like Jedi Academy (duel mode only, of course ;)).

I hate to deflate everyone's hopes, but this rumour has been around before the Wii was released. 'On the Horizon' could mean 2yrs away in Lucas' world.
This has been circulating since before even 'The force unleashed' was officially announced, so as soon as that was rumoured too, people put 2 + 2 together & some nearly soiled themselves with glee until THAT idea was shot down by Lucasarts.
I can't wait for either, no matter howl long it takes!!!
Roll on Jedi Power Battles 2!!!!!!
Hey guys.......
I will commit to running a dedicated Jedi Academy server one night a week if there is enough interest. We will just have to figure out who will mod while the EST people are sleeping or at work. Just let me know.
By the way.....I also run dedicated Swat 4(Sith_Net) and Battlefield 2(Death_Net) servers. You guys are more that welcome to play. Password on both servers is 12345.

yes, i've heard of this, what would rock is for there to be controllers of varying lengths and then pieces that you could snap on and off to give it a custom feel. one of many reasons why the Wii is worth getting before getting a PS3 or 360. Although if you're going to get just one system I'd go for w/e suits your game tastes best. RPG's, sports, racing, etc. is owned by sony pretty much. 360 owns star wars basically. and then nintendo is good at getting deals with good companies and then losing them. (i.e. namco made "Tales of Symphonia" a 1-4 player RPG that absolutely rocked and then it became better after the deal with nintendo broke off and a ps2 version was available)
EDIT:
Video Games are my area of expertise, well at least RPG's some sports games and a few action/adventure games.
My dream would be for this lightsaber game to be as good if not better than the arcade game "Blade of honor" you can only play it if you are at an arcade and you basically have a sword handle and you slash things.

They actually sell a lightsaber video game. It's made by mattel and hooks to your TV. You have a mode where you fight your way up to master and free form mode. I got one for my daughter at Christmas and it will put you through the moves. It is the only game that comes with the system. You get a remote that looks like the training remote and what looks like a 1/3 sized lightsaber blade. It it a good way to practice on those rainy days.

Do tell, Mor El... photos? Video? a little more info?
EDIT: NEVER MIND... I think I found it online... I see now... the one for like $40...
I have always wanted to see a saber fighting game that actually used targets and parries and all that.
Closest thing I ever saw were those sit-down arcade SW games that took you through the whole series, but the saber fighting was pretty lame since it flashed where you were supposed to parry first, and it was only a short part of things...

ah, I eagerly await the day when I will no longer have to go to an arcade to play blade of honor in order to slash 500+ people with a sword handle. Ahhhh, Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors may have the same effect with a controller but that can only go so far. This supposed game would really suck if it were in a 1st person view. It makes most sense for it to be 3rd person, but older sw games you had to use a saber in 1st person... as a nintendo gamer, I know that nintendo can screw stuff like this up. Do not be surprised if Nintendo turns down this game and then decides to make some sort of Mario Football (as in american football) game.. however I will always love Nintendo as long as they can crank out games as good as this:

and Super Smash Bros. Brawl, the game that will make Halo 3 look like barney the dinosaur.
