Mace kits and the Blade???

I got my kit for my mace today.. I also got a 1" blade from Tim... the blade doesn't fit right... what can I do?

hmm...pics would be helpful

make sure that there is nothing protruding into the blade holder i.e. screws

also, check the end of the poly C blade, make sure there isn't anything on there either.

if bad comes to worse, try sanding the blade holder a wee bit. novastar said that he's done that before :wink:

is the end of the blade knurled over? is the conversion kit installed already. I know when I did mine I kind of gubbered it a bit when I put the new set screws in.

You need to cut or trim the ends of the tube for the blade as they are cut from the factory via a tube cutter so it flares the ends a tad.

As I said.. I am blonde... after I filed the end of the blade down it fit very well.I did not notice that in my excitement. :D :shock: :P :lol: :lol:

also, just a quick check in the holder itself, just to make sure when you did the drillin and tappin, you didnt sqash it some just enuff to make it out of round.

that happened to me on mine, but it was a easy fix.
