It's not my thing, but it has it's advantages.

Later when Tim adds more there will be the capability of changing your saber in only the time it takes to screw it apart. It is quite easy for those less inclined to building their own hilt too.

You don't have to. You can always pick your own parts, and build your lightsaber from scratch, like many of us have.

Ya it is more expensive. But I think you get what you pay for. If you want to build a one of a kind unique hilt then dont go modular. If you want a very quick, easy, and strong saber that just screws together then modular is for you.

I dissagree - I think you can build an awsome one of a kind saber using the modular system as a base. All you need is a bit of immagination.
