this IS a costuming section on tims site, it was setup this way, so its ok to discuss costumes here.

only clone pieces i seen lately were on ebay. might give Sith Armors alternate ebay name a try. that one caters to trooper stufff more than the regular SA ebay name does.

if you need, i can get the alternate ebay name for you.

I'm looking to get my hands on some RotS armor now. Anyone have any sources for me? Clonetroopers.net apparently won't help if you're looking to buy armor rather than spend ten thousand years making it. :x

The people at Clonetrooper.net will not tell you to buy from so and so just like most of the other sites will not for the simple fact that the armor is lucas's baby and he has been known to shut people down to show that he can. If you hang on the boards for a while you will learn the different makers and types of the armor. Personally I like the OSCS set that they are working on, but that complete set is going to be crazy expensive. Their buckets are nice though and reasonable in price. Vector, MG, and cloner6900 are also some nice sets. I bought a recast set of the MG armor and was very disappointed in it. (somewhere on here you can see pics of it) The final outcome could be nice but to much work to make it into what I would want it to be so I am currently on the list to get the RC armor from PA, Sev here I come lol. If you are serious about buying the armor hang out on the boards a little and go form there.

-Edit oh Hey TCSS how is everyone lol been awhile.

Sound advice from Robt666, and Tazrob, both are fellow 501st members.

Another avenue open to you, and don't try this unless it's what you want to do, -Go hang out at your local 501st garrison's forum board, or send a message to the garrison CO. They can hook you up ONLY if your looking at joining the 501st.
IF NOT -look at various kits that become available on Ebay. There is one trooper on there that I know of, that sells decent armor, but you'll have to put it together. AND - occasionally the odd trooper will be on there auctioning off a set he wants to upgrade.

Wow. That set actually makes me almost want to go Stormtrooper instead of RotS Clone.

I think I'll just do both eventually, lol! :D 8)

I have been looking forward to making my own armor for a while now, but since vacuforming isnt my favorite way ill make the armor out of fiberglass.

Fiberglass may be a tad fragile for the beating Trooper armor takes, most troopers I speak to about it recommend ABS, I'm interested in expanding my costuming to TK armor, since events won't be limited by having only a Vader costume. 8) And I'm at the end of upgrading my Vader.

well I have my MR phase 2 helmet, on the list for OSCS Armor kit, DC-15 blaster being made and skullworks speaker and fan setup coming. now once everything is here I will start with the fitting and building of the armor then I will be doing the repainting of the helmet and armor.
going 501st..... I like the simplicity as well as its color... man I spent a crap load of cash to do this and still got a long way to go lol..... but it will be worth it....

ohh and sorry about the long disappearance.
