I could be missing something but......
from the posted pics I cannot see how the grill would be attached using the clip......

You would pop the grill in place first (from the inside) so that it rests against the hole in the pommel then you put the c clip in behind it. Those clips are slightly sprung so it would press against the wall of the pommel and stay in position, holding the grill in place.

A simple yet elegant solution to an engineering problem.

When's the last time anyone's heard from Debbie? Last I heard she was hanging around Dallas.

That was my understanding........guess I just thought the "groove" would be visible in the pics.............looking forward to the other offerings...escpecially a dual pommel.

Actually the c-clip has its own groove to fit into.

Hey Tim,
Is the MPS insert the same dimensions as the MR Luke insert?

How does a person remove the spring to change the grill if they want to? Will we need to get a pair of snap-ring pliers for that, or is it easy to remove?

No it is not the same as the luke. Its a little smaller I think or maybe it was bigger..cant remember at the moment.

You will need snap ring pliers yes. But you dont have to use the clip which is why I am selling it seperate. I will also look for some more user friendly clips.

needel nose pliers should work also.

All right, cool! Snap ring pliers aren't that expensive, anyway, I just thought I'd ask to make sure. I notice that you said you can use a rubber o-ring, too, that's a great idea.

I call those "Jesus Clips".

Because when you try to take them off they fly off the pliers and are lost forever, at which point you say "JESUS CHRIST!!!"

But I suppose that's what I get for using Needle Nose pliers to remove them...

lmao

ah. true very true

Memories of dismantling a ford a4ld automatic transmition. If thoes trans dident go when they were in teh car they will when you start to take the tail shaft housing off.

Is that like the Jesus bolt on a helicopter? (the final bolt that keeps the prop on)
