brandonptx would you mind sharing the settings of your camera for those pics, and saber blade type. The exposition makes good results.

The sabers are a Luke ROTJ Ultrasabers Conversion(the green one). Two blue apprentice sabers from Ultra and there are two stock Darth Mauls. Haven't gotten any pictures yet with my converted Mace yet. :D

My camera is a Canon 5.1 MP with lots of crazy setting options.

As for the camera settings the general "blurring" happens when I just increase the exposure time, keeps the iris open for longer, you have to keep it really still or use a tripod. Sometimes you can shake it a little to make weird shapes with the lights, often turns out bad though. You have to be careful when you increase the exposure time because you also get more light, longer it's open, the more light that comes in, so you can wash out the picture.

My Canon also has an option for color isolation, and a lot of digital camera have it as well. It makes everything black and white except the colors you choose. I'll point it at the saber blades and I'll get only those colors, makes for some sweet stuff. Then also over exposing it while color isolation gets some stuff as well.

I don't really know what I do when I take them, I just play around til something cool happens.

Next time we saber I'll take different styles of pictures and I'll write down what I do and post a tutorial or something.

I like that color isolation thing. My camera don't do that. I'd like to, makes sweet results.

thanks for the info.
